查尔斯国王登基演讲首秀(中英双语)King Charles’ full 1st speech to Britain as the new monarch查尔斯国王作为新国王对英国的第一次演讲(全文)Sep 9, 2022 2022年9月9日“I speak to you today with feelings of profound sorrow. Throughout her life, Her Majesty The Queen — my beloved Mother — was an inspiration and example to me and to all my family, and we owe her the most heartfelt debt any family can owe to their mother; for her love, affection, guidance, understanding and example.“今天,我怀着深切的悲痛在各位面前讲话女王陛下-我亲爱的母亲--她的一生都是我和我所有家人的精神依托和榜样,我们对她的歉疚比任何一个其他家庭成员对母亲的歉疚要多得多;因为女王陛下给予了我们爱、付出、引导、理解和榜样的力量。

Queen Elizabeth was a life well lived; a promise with destiny kept and she is mourned most deeply in her passing. Alongside the personal grief that all my family are feeling, we also share with so many of you in the United Kingdom, in all the countries where The Queen was Head of State, in the Commonwealth and across the world, a deep sense of gratitude for the more than 70 years in which my Mother, as Queen, served the people of so many nations.“除了我的家人感到的悲痛之外,我们还与整个大不列颠联合王国、女王护佑荫蔽的所有国家、英联邦和全世界的许多人一样,对70多年来我的母亲作为女王为许多国家的人民服务深表感谢。

In 1947, on her 21st birthday, she pledged in a broadcast from Cape Town to the Commonwealth to devote her life, whether it be short or long, to the service of her peoples.1947年,在她21岁生日时,她在开普敦向英联邦的广播中承诺,无论是短暂的还是漫长的一生,她都将为她的人民服务That was more than a promise: it was a profound personal commitment which defined her whole life. She made sacrifices for duty.“这不仅仅是一个承诺:这是一个深刻的个人倾情付出,这完美地定义了她的一生她为这个责任做出了牺牲Her dedication and devotion as Sovereign never waivered, through times of change and progress, through times of joy and celebration, and through times of sadness and loss.“在变革和进步的时代,在欢乐和庆祝的时代,以及在悲伤和失落的时代,她作为君主付出的一切和奉献精神从未放弃。

In her life of service we saw that abiding love of tradition, together with that fearless embrace of progress, which make us great as Nations. The affection, admiration and respect she inspired became the hallmark of her reign.“在她的服务生涯中,我们看到了她对传统的持久热爱以及对国家进步的无畏拥抱,这使我们成为伟大的民族她所激发的爱、钦佩和尊重成为她对国家治理的标志And, as every member of my family can testify, she combined these qualities with warmth, humor and an unerring ability always to see the best in people.“而且,正如我们家的每一位成员都可以证明的那样,她将这些品质与热情、幽默和在她的子民身上反映出的准确无误的品质结合起来。

I pay tribute to my Mother’s memory and I honor her life of service. I know that her death brings great sadness to so many of you and I share that sense of loss, beyond measure, with you all.“我对我母亲的记忆表示敬意,并对她服务的一生表示敬意我知道她的去世给你们中的许多人带来了巨大的悲伤,我与你们所有人都有着无法估量的失落感When The Queen came to the throne, Britain and the world were still coping with the privations and aftermath of the Second World War, and still living by the conventions of earlier times.“当女王登基时,英国和全世界仍在应对第二次世界大战结束后带来的贫困和冲击,而我的母亲仍然按照早期的惯例生活In the course of the last 70 years we have seen our society become one of many cultures and many faiths.“在过去70年中,我们看到我们的社会已经成为多种文化和多种信仰的一部分。

The institutions of the State have changed in turn. But, through all changes and challenges, our nation and the wider family of Realms – of whose talents, traditions and achievements I am so inexpressibly proud – have prospered and flourished. Our values have remained, and must remain, constant.“国家的制度也随之发生了变化但是,通过所有的变化和挑战,我们的国家和更广泛的领域已经繁荣昌盛——我对国之栋梁、国家传统和成就感到无比自豪我们的价值观固若磐石,而且必须源远流长The role and the duties of Monarchy also remain, as does the Sovereign’s particular relationship and responsibility towards the Church of England – the Church in which my own faith is so deeply rooted.“君主制的角色和职责历历在目,君主对英国国家教义的特殊关系和责任也是如此——我自己的信仰深深扎根于英国国家教义。

In that faith, and the values it inspires, I have been brought up to cherish a sense of duty to others, and to hold in the greatest respect the precious traditions, freedoms and responsibilities of our unique history and our system of parliamentary government.“本着这一信念和它所激发的价值观,我从小就得到母亲言传身教:必须对他人充满责任感,必须尊重我们独特历史和议会政府制度的宝贵传统以及它们赋予我们自由权力“As The Queen herself did with such unswerving devotion, I too now solemnly pledge myself, throughout the remaining time God grants me, to uphold the Constitutional principles at the heart of our nation.“正如女王本人以如此坚定的忠诚所做的那样,我现在也郑重宣誓,在上帝赐予我的剩余时间里,维护我们国家核心的宪法原则。

And wherever you may live in the United Kingdom, or in the Realms and territories across the world, and whatever may be your background or beliefs, I shall endeavor to serve you with loyalty, respect and love, as I have throughout my life.“无论你们生活在英国的任何地方,或世界各地的任何领域,无论你们的背景或信仰如何,我都将努力以忠诚、尊重和爱为你们服务,就像我一生所做的那样My life will of course change as I take up my new responsibilities.“当我承担新的责任时,我的生活当然会改变It will no longer be possible for me to give so much of my time and energies to the charities and issues for which I care so deeply. But I know this important work will go on in the trusted hands of others.“我再也不可能抽出更多的时间和精力投入到我深为关心的慈善事业和问题上。

但我知道,这项重要的工作将会让我值得信任的人接管。
