端午节英语手抄报内容【10篇】1.端午节英语手抄报内容 The Duanwu Festival, which is also called the Dragon Boat Festival, is an ancient Chinese traditional festival, celebrated on the fifth day of the fifth lunar month. For thousands of years, various celebrating activities are held all around the country. Eating zongzi and racing dragon boats are the most pertinent ones, which are said to be in memory of Qu Yuan, a great poet. In some places, people spread realgar wine on the children in the hope of protecting them from the evil spirits. Many people consider May as an especially dangerous time for diseases in a year, and therefore they hang moxa and calamus and things like that around the doors to ward off evil and diseases and pray for good luck.2.端午节英语手抄报内容 The Dragon Boat Festival, also called the Duanwu Festival, is celebrated on the fifth day of the fifth month according to the Chinese calendar. This festival is to commemorate the death of QU Yuan, an upright and honest poet and statesman who is said to have committed suicide by drowning himself in a river. The most important activity of this festival is the Dragon Boat races. It symbolizes people‘s attempts to rescue Qu Yuan. In the current period, these races also demonstrate the virtues of cooperation and teamwork. Besides, the festival has also been marked by eating zong zi (glutinous rice)。

Zong zi is made of glutinous rice stuffed with different fillings and wrapped in bamboo or reed leaves. People who mourned the death of Qu threw Zong zi into the river to feed his ghost every year. With the changes of the times, the memorial turns to be a time for protection from evil and disease for the rest of year. People will hang healthy herbs on the front door to clear the bad luck of the house. Although the significance of the festival might be different with the past, it still gives the observer an opportunity to glimpse a part of the rich Chinese cultural heritage.3.端午节英语手抄报内容 As the saying goes: “hundreds of miles of different wind, thousands of miles of different customs.” My hometown is in Liuheng, which has its own unique customs. The Dragon Boat Festival is one of the more representative festivals. Of course, zongzi is indispensable for the Dragon Boat Festival. Some people do it by themselves, while others buy it on the street. What they make is wrapped with glutinous rice, Zongye and reed grass, and some will add spices inside. Besides eating zongzi, sprinkling realgar wine is also an interesting custom. The elders touched a yellow liquid with their hands and rubbed it on the children’s hands, ears and forehead. When they asked, they knew it was realgar wine. My grandmother told me, “realgar wine is specially used to repel insects. In summer, some mosquitoes and flies fly into the house and sprinkle this wine to avoid insect bites.” Although the taste of realgar wine is very pungent, after all, it is a custom in our hometown and can also protect ourselves. Therefore, we will put realgar wine on it every Dragon Boat Festival. There are many customs in our hometown, and some are very unique. We should pass on these customs well.4.端午节英语手抄报内容 On the day of the Dragon Boat Festival, according to the custom, my mother and I wrapped seeds together. First, we need to prepare rice, eggs, meat and Zongye. First fold the rice dumpling leaves into a bowl, then pour a spoonful of rice into it, and then put other ingredients into it. After the rice dumplings are wrapped, my mother and I put the rice dumplings into the stove and cook them for 20 minutes. “Ding” the rice dumplings are cooked. The rice dumplings are delicious. I saw that boat No. 4 was far away and won the championship. Now it’s the turn of the long boat race. The bow is a “dragon” head. There are many flowers and photos on it. It’s really colorful! Spectators along the river shouted for the champion’s boat, and some took videos with cameras and mobile phones.
