4、而语际语用能力很大程度上由二语或外语学习者的言语行为来体现。目前，此方面的研究已取得不少成果，但对拒绝言语行为的研究并不像其他言语行为那样广受欢迎，其中将中国的外语学习者作为研究对象的就更少了。而且拒绝言语行为威胁对方的面子，影响双方的人际关系，能否恰当的运用相应的策略来减少或避免不良影响是语用能力的一个重要表现。因此，本研究将对中国的非英语专业学习者的拒绝言语行为进行语言语用和社会语用两方面的研究。本研究采用主观问卷、客观问卷以及社会因素评估问卷作为研究工具，研究对象是哈尔滨工业大学的两个班的大二非英语专业的学生。语言语用方面的研究是通过收集主观问卷的拒绝语，将其进行编码和数据统计来进行语义
5、成分和拒绝策略分析；将拒绝语的策略按顺序进行编号来反映拒绝语的句式结构特点。社会语用方面的研究是综合三个问卷的结果，首先统计社会因素评估问卷的结果并与设计问卷的参考标准对比；其次，将主观问卷的拒绝语和客观问卷的各选项进行礼貌赋值，通过 SPSS13.0 统计软件探索礼貌值和各社会因素的相关性，以及通过控制变量来探求社会因素对策略选择的影响；最后，将各问卷所得数据进行对比来探索研究对象的语际语用能力是否与他们的语用意识相对应。通过分析，本研究的结果总结如下。首先，在语义成分方面，直接拒绝占 30.15%，明显高于通常使用间接策略的本族人，说明研究对象受到母语的影响。69.85%的中心行为语采用了
6、间接策略，说明研究对象大部分能注意到礼貌原则，尽量避免威胁对方的面子。在辅助行为语和修饰语方面，大部分的拒绝策略都有所涉及，但是针对个人来讲，拒绝策略的选择就相对比较局限。在句式结构上，频率最高的一个句式是 rg+gr （表示遗憾+原因），其次-I- Harbin Institute of Technology Graduation Thesis for the MA Degree 哈尔滨工业大学硕士论文是 rg+gr+alt（表示遗憾+原因+其他解决方法），而且有的策略在句中的顺序相对比较固定，如否定能力的直接拒绝语通常出现在第二位，遗憾词在第一位，原因在第二位等。其次，在社会语用方面，社会
7、因素评估问卷的结果显示，研究对象对社会地位和社会距离的认识与设计问卷的参照标准基本一致，但对拒绝难易度的认识与标准差别较大。在礼貌值和社会因素的相关性分析中，呈显著相关的比较少，说明即使研究对象对社会因素有一定的认识，但在表现中也没能很好的考虑其影响或者语言水平限制了他们的表达能力。另外，通过控制变量，对各个社会因素对策略影响的分析显示，研究对象对各社会因素的考虑程度不同，采取的策略也相差甚远。再次，通过对主观、客观问卷的句式结构和礼貌值进行分析比较发现，研究对象的语用能力仍滞后于他们的语用意识。总之，研究结果发现中国非英语专业学生能够运用一定的拒绝策略，对社会权力和社会距离有较好的认识，并在
8、某些场合可以采用恰当的拒绝语，说明他们具备一定的语用能力。但是，他们所用的拒绝策略缺乏多样性，对拒绝难度缺乏足够的认识，对社会因素的考虑不够深刻，其语用能力还是滞后于语用意识。因此，学习者需要不断提高语用能力，英语教学也需要注重学生实际语用能力的培养。另外，本研究的结果也将对以后的研究有一些启示。关键词：语际语用能力；拒绝语；拒绝策略；社会因素-II- Harbin Institute of Technology Graduation Thesis for the MA Degree哈尔滨工业大学硕士论文AbstractSince the beginning of 1980s, interla
9、nguage pragmatics (ILP) has arisen as anindependent discipline. One branch of ILP is speech act studies which haverecently been widely conducted to explore the interlanguage pragmaticcompetence (IPC) of foreign/second language learners. The speech act of refusal isa face-threatening act (FTA). Wheth
10、er it is used appropriately or not has a directbearing on the successful communication. Therefore, a good mastery of refusal isa good reflection of learners pragmatic competence. However, so far, the studieson refusals, especially the refusal in Chinese English learners are not as substantialas othe
11、r speech acts in ILP studies.Thus, the author carried out the present study to investigate thepragmalinguistic and sociopragmatic aspects of Chinese non-English majorsinterlanguage refusals to better understand Chinese English learners IPC. Theinstruments applied are an open-ended Discourse Complete
12、 Test (DCT), acorresponding multiple-choice questionnaire (MCQ) and a sociopragmaticassessment questionnaire (SAQ). The participants are two sophomore classes inHarbin Institute of Technology. For the pragmalinguistic aspect, the data collectedin DCT were coded for semantic formulas and sentential s
13、tructure analysis. Fromthe sociopragmatic perspective, the results in SAQ are compared with thedesignation criterion; the strategies in refusals were assigned politeness values forcorrelation analysis with social factors in SPSS 13.0. Finally, the performance inDCT, MCQ and SAQ was compared to explo
