1、2019年女权运动演讲发言稿 TodaywearelaunchingacampaigncalledHeForShe.IamreachingouttoyoubecauseIneedyourhelp.Wewanttoendgenderinequalityandtodothisweneedeveryonetobeinvolved. ThisisthefirstcampaignofitskindattheUN:wewanttotryandgalvanizeasmanymenandboysaspossibletobeadvocatesforchange.Andwedontjustwanttotalkab
2、outit,wewanttotrytomakesureitistangible. IwasappointedasGoodwillAmbassadorforU.N.WomensixmonthsagoandthemoreIhavespokenaboutfeminismthemoreIhaverealizedthatfightingforwomensrightshastoooftenbeesynonymouswithman-hating.IfthereisonethingIknowforcertain,itisthatthishastostop. Fortherecord,feminismbydef
3、initionis:“Thebeliefthatmenandwomenshouldhaveequalrightsandopportunities.Itisthetheoryofthepolitical,economicandsocialequalityofthesexes.” Istartedquestioninggender-basedassumptionsalongtimeago,whenIwaseight,Iwasconfusedaboutbeingcalledbossy,becauseIwantedtodirecttheplayswewouldputonforourparentsbut
4、theboyswerenot.Whenat14Istartedbeingsexualizedbycertainelementsofthemedia.Whenat15mygirlfriendsstarteddroppingoutoftheirbelovedsportsteamsbecausetheydidntwanttoappearmuscly.Whenat18mymalefriendswereunabletoexpresstheirfeelings.IdecidedthatIwasafeministandthisseemedunplicatedtome.Butmyrecentresearchh
5、asshownmethatfeminismhasbeeanunpopularword.Womenarechoosingnottoidentifyasfeminists.ApparentlyIamamongtheranksofwomenwhoseexpressionsareseenastoostrong,tooaggressive,isolating,andanti-men,unattractiveeven.Whyhastheworldbeesuchanunfortableone IamfromBritainandIthinkitisrightthatIampaidthesameasmymale
6、counterparts.IthinkitisrightthatIshouldbeabletomakedecisionsaboutmyownbody.Ithinkitisrightthatwomenbeinvolvedonmybehalfinthepoliciesanddecisionthataffectmylife.IthinkitisrightthatsociallyIamaffordedthesamerespectasmen.ButsadlyIcansaythatthereisnoonecountryintheworldwhereallwomencanexpecttoreceivethe
7、serights.Nocountryintheworldcanyetsaytheyhaveachievedgenderequality. TheserightsIconsidertobehumanrights,butIamoneoftheluckyones.MylifeisasheerprivilegebecausemyparentsdidntlovemelessbecauseIwasbornadaughter.MyschooldidnotlimitmebecauseIwasagirl.MymentorsdidntassumethatIwouldgolessfarbecauseImightgi
8、vebirthtoachildoneday.TheseinfluencerswerethegenderequalityambassadorsthatmademewhoIamtoday.Theymaynotknowit,buttheyaretheinadvertentfeministswhoarechangingtheworldtoday.Weneedmoreofthose.Andifyoustillhatetheworditisnotthewordthatisimportant,itstheideaandtheambitionbehindit.Becausenotallwomenhavebee
9、nreceivedthesamerightsthatIhave.Infact,statistically,veryfewhavebeen. In1997,HilaryClintonmadeafamousspeechinBeijingaboutwomensrights.Sadly,manyofthethingsshewantedtochangearestilltruetoday.Butwhatstoodoutformethemostwasthatlessthan30percentoftheaudiencesweremale.Howcanweaffectchangeintheworldwhenon
10、lyhalfofitisinvitedorfeelweletoparticipateintheconversationMen-Iwouldliketotakethisopportunitytoextendyouformalinvitation.Genderequalityisyourissuetoo.Becausetodate,Iveseenmyfathersroleasaparentbeingvaluedlessbysocietydespitemyneedinghispresenceasachildasmuchasmymothers. Iveseenyoungmensufferingfrom
11、mentalillnessunabletoaskforhelpforfearitwouldmakethemlooklessofamenorlessofaman.InfactintheUK,suicideisthebiggestkillerofmenbetween20-49,eclipsingroadaccidents,cancerandcoronaryheartdisease.Iveseenmenmadefragileandinsecurebyadistortedsenseofwhatconstitutesmalesuccess.Mendonthavethebenefitsofequality
12、either.Wedontoftentalkaboutmenbeingimprisonedbygenderstereotypes,butIcanseethattheyare.Whentheyarefree,thingswillchangeforwomenasanaturalconsequence.Ifmendonthavetobeaggressiveinordertobeacceptedwomenwontfeelpelledtobesubmissive.Ifmendonthavetocontrol,womenwonthavetobecontrolled.Bothmenandwomenshoul
13、dfeelfreetobesensitive.Bothemenandwomenshouldfeelfreetobestrong. Itstimethatweallperceivegenderonaspectruminsteadoftwosetsofopposingideals.IfweshouldstopdefiningeachotherbywhatwearenotandstartdefiningourselvesbywhowearewecanallbefreerandthisiswhatHEFORSHEisabout.Itsaboutfreedom. Iwantmentotakeupthis
14、mantle.Sotheirdaughters,sistersandmotherscanbefreefromprejudice,butalsosothattheirsonshavepermissiontobevulnerableandhumantooreclaimthosepartsofthemselvestheyabandonedandindoingsobeamoretrueandpleteversionofthemselves.YoumightbethinkingwhoisthisHarryPottergirlAndwhatisshedoingspeakingattheUN.Itsarea
