1、关系代词用于宾语，who用作主语或表语。whom did you talk with?who bought this ?定于从句基本用法： 先行词（人）+whom+主语+及物动词+介词the man whom i spoke to is my uncle.whomKK: DJ: pron.(who的宾格,用在正式的讲话及书面语中)1. (用作疑问代词)谁,什么人I know who you are and whom you represent.我知道你是谁并代表谁。2. (用作限定关系代词).的人Ill give my vote to the man in whom I have faith.
2、我将把我的选票投给我所相信的人。She was the girl whom you met at the airport.她就是你在机场遇见的那个女孩。3. (用作非限定关系代词)他,她;他们,她们My new neighbor, whom I introduced to you the other day, had a heart attack last night.日前我介绍你认识的我那位新邻居昨晚心脏病发作。4. 【古】(省略先行词的关系代词).的人whom一直和whom离不开，区分这两个其实很简单，who做特殊疑问词，或者引导从句，做从句的主语或宾语。 例如It is he who m
3、ade the story so perfect. 句中who做主语从句的主语。 通常情况下whom和who可以通用，但是who可以代替whom而whom不能代替who 也就是说例如He is the person whom I dont want to get along with. 句子中whom 定语从句的宾语，可以用who代替也就是说，刚才的句子可以写作He is the person who I dont want to get along with. 只要知道这些，用好whom 就没什么困难了1）正式用法中， who 是主格 （subject pronoun），在句子中作主语（su
4、bject)、或在从句中作主词的补语（the predicate pronouns of their own clauses）。 例如:例句-1: We will give the money to the person who needs it most. 在上面的例句-1 中 who 是动词 needs 的主语。例句-2: No one knows who you are.在上面的例句中 who 是 从句 who you are 的补语。 用英语说就是：who is the predicate pronoun of the clause who you are. 以前讲过， 联系动词的前后
5、都是名词（或代词）时，它们是指同一件事， 所以 you = who.（2）正式用法中， whom 是受格（object pronoun）, 在句子中作及物动词的宾语（object）或介词的宾语。请看以下的例句： 例句-3: We filed a complaint against the contractor whom we hired last month. 在从句 whom we hired last month 中，we 是主语， hired 是谓语（及物动词），whom 是及物动词 hired 的宾语。例句-4: To whom does this book belong?这里 who
6、m 作 介词 to 的宾语（object）（3）口语或非正式用法中，作动词或介词的宾语的 whom 放在句首时，往往被 who 所代替。如果 whom 紧接在介词之后， 如 例句-4， 则不可被 who 代替。 例句-5: Who (or Whom) do you take her to be?这个句子可译为：你以为她是谁？例句-6: Who (or Whom) is this letter from?这个句子可译为：这封信是谁寄来的？例句-7: Who (or Whom) did you invite to the party?（4）引导定语从句时，whom 一般被 who 或 that 代替。例句-8: The man (who/that/whom) I met in San Jose was very kind.
