The Teaching Guidance 【The Guidance】Under the guidance of the new curriculum standard of senior high school English teaching and the quality education, my lesson is closely connected with the application of the English language in our daily life in order to achieve the goal of helping the
4、students build a positive attitude towards life. Besides, this lesson is designed to educate the students to develop a polite driving habit and learn to be considerable to the pedestrians after their learning the reading passage. Make sure that the students have realized that it is their duty to cal
5、l on the people around them to drive in a courteous way. 【The Analysis of the Teaching Material】The topic of this module is Traffic Jam, so it is necessary for the students to learn about the means of transport in the first period. And then well easily come to the central topictraffic jam as a resul
6、t of such a great number of vehicles on the road. Finally, its a good chance for us to advocate polite driving in our everyday life. Thus, the main task of this period is to know about means of transport through the reading passage Getting Around in Beijing. Offered some pictures of the means of tra
7、nsport which the students are familiar with, the students are guided to learn how to express them in English first. Meanwhile, these pictures are functioned as a good way to arouse their interest. Next, different teaching strategies such as fast-reading and careful reading are designed to train and
8、improve the students reading ability. Group discussions are also involved in to improve their communication skills and hold their attention. 【The Analysis of the Students】Some students are shy and quiet while some others are active and talkative in class. Whats more, about one third of the students
9、are able to express themselves fluently in English. There are still about ten students who have difficulty in learning English, though. Therefore, it is necessary to take these differences into account before the class and prepare proper tasks for them in order to achieve the goal of high learning e
10、fficiency in class.
