4、内涵。英汉习语在语言特征、语言功能、范围和分类、来源以及文化背景等方面有很多不同之处。本论文经过比照研讨英汉习语，找出英汉两个民族在自然环境、前史开展、宗教信仰、风俗习惯等方面的区别。然后使大家更深刻地知道英汉两个民族间的文化区别，对英语教育和对外汉语教育方面有着重要意义和价值。同时，认识和把握英汉习语的文明内涵，有助于非常好地了解和把握英汉习语的精确意义，然后进一步提升跨文化外交的能力。 本文主要分为四章，第一章主要介绍了研究背景、研究目的以及意义；第二章讲述了英汉习语的来源以及英汉习语的特点分析；第三章从多个角度分析英汉习语所反映出的中英文化差异；第四章为本文总结部分。关键词：英汉习语；文

The author finds out that both English and Chinese idioms have many differences in the aspects such as linguistic characteristics, linguistic functions, range and classification, idiomatic sources, and cultural backgrounds, etc

In this thesis, a comprehensive comparison between English idioms and Chinese idioms will be made, by reflecting the differences between British nation and Chinese nation in the following aspects: natural environments, historical development, religious belief, traditional moral values, to make a b
