3、ko has noted herself as being 1/4 Laguna Pueblo (a Keres speaking tribe), also identifying as Anglo American and Mexican American.,Early Life,Silko grew up on the edge of pueblo society(普韦布洛) both literally her familys house was at the edge of the Laguna Pueblo reservation and figuratively, as she w
4、as not permitted to participate in various tribal rituals or join any of the pueblos religious societies. Silko learned much of the traditional stories of the Laguna people from her grandmother, whom she called Amooh, her aunt Susie, and her grandfather Hank during her early years. As a result, Silk
5、o has always identified most strongly with her Laguna ancestry, stating in an interview with Alan Velie, “I am of mixed-breed ancestry, but what I know is Laguna(拉古纳)“.,Early Life,Silko was educated at a Catholic school in Albuquerque, and went on to receive a BA from the University of New Mexico in
6、 1969. In 1965, she married Richard C. Chapman, and together, they had a son, Robert Chapman, before divorcing in 1969. In 1971, she and John Silko were married. They had a son, Kazimir Silko. At first, she decided to go back home, but on the half way she thought of the man on the river sand, so she went back. 11、ouse,Rising action,After arriving at Silvas house, they had the meal and Yellow Woman learnt that Silva rustled cattle, so she guessed that Silva must be a Navajo rather than a Pueblo like herself. Next morning, the Yellow Woman woke up and found that Silva was gone. Again she decided to go home, bu
12、t at noon she got back and found that Silva just killed a cattle and he asked the Yellow Woman to go to the Marquez to sell the meat with him. I assented.,Rising action,On our way to Marquez, we met a white man and he accused Silva of stealing cattle. Silva denied it and he asked me to go back to th

When I got to the plain, I turned the horse back to the mountain while I walked toward home along the way Silva and I had come.,Falling action,When

But I believe that Silva will come back sometime and be waiting again by the river.,Resolution,When I got to the door of my house, everthing is peaceful as my mother was telling my
