In the following years she published several novels: Sula (1973),Song of Solomon(1977),Tar baby(1981),Beloved(1987),Jazz(1992),and Paradise(1988). In 1993,she won the Nobel Prize i

2、n literature and became the first African American to win the prize.,Sula was written in 1969, famous for its description of three female characters and their stories. Their unusual experiences show us the difficulties black women have to face in their life. These three characters represent three di

Eva-the Forerunner of Rebellious Spirit; Sula- the Practitioner of Rebellious Spirit; Nel-the Successor of Rebellious Spirit.,Sula, the new black woman, who dares to defy the traditional social expectations of a black woman, courageously tries to assert her true selfho
