1、PERSONAL STATEMENT Father told me: “One should have a goal in every stage of life. Achieve every little goal,then his life will be successful.“ The moment I stepped into campus, I promised to yourself that I would give yourself a better future in 4 years. This became my goal during undergraduate, an
2、d also became the source of efforts during my first 3 years. At the beginning of campus life, I was more interested in students activities, and at the same time hoped to enhance all-round capabilities. I served as vice President of Student Union, class monitor, planned and organized sports festival,
3、 art festival, humanistic rostrum, “I am hiter“ and a series of brand activities. Besides, I was one of the founders of Ericsson club, put forward the slogan, designed the logo and was responsible for the overall work of clubs launching ceremony and daily operation work. When I worked as student rep
4、orter in HIT(HIT short for Harbin Institute of Technology) editorial department, more than 10 pieces of news and articles were published on HIT Newspaper and news network; In the period of Harbin 90 anniversary, as volunteer,I received academicians, and I learnt a lot from the way they talked and be
5、haved. The experience of student cadres and students activities made me enhance all-round capabilities and contact with more excellent persons. However, the students activities is not the main task for students, I am also very strict with my studies. Every year my ranking in major maintained the top
6、 three,and in sophomore year I obtained National Scholarship with the first place in my major. As for English learning, I kept studying hard. My mark in CET4 and CET6 are both above 600.I also got the third prize in National English Contest for College Students. Having certain theoretical knowledge
7、reserve, I participated in tutors two research groups about Chinas stock index futures. I remembered my tutor once told me that many economics researchers had to get help from other fields advanced achievements to promote economics to develop better. Therefore, from the start of research, I would le
8、t myself take account of economic theory and technical methods at the same time. HIT has excellent science and engineering resources.Through communications and cooperations with students majoring in science or engineering, I have formed a knowledge system and thinking mode combined with both art and
9、 science.I have learnt some advanced algorithms in computer and other areas and applied them to study of economic problems. I fully experienced the process of scientific research and gradually cultivated interest in research in these groups. At first I accepted training such as literature consulting
10、 and software using, and completed some reports on factors of financial risk. Then I specialized in the research of support vector regression method,completed reports on support vector machines and learnt to use matlab, SPSS, eviews and finish paper Study of Short-Term Prediction of Stock Market Bas
11、ed on v-SVR Model. I spent most time in library and study rooms when writing the paper. Every day I forced myself to read books on mathematics and computer, to search for teaching videos online, and went to ask elders from other schools. Exhausted though I felt, I gained a lot. In addition, biweekly
12、 report among group members let me share with others. I not only understood my own researchs deficiency but also created new ideas for all members. Through the study of computer knowledge, I can accurately convert economic demand into technological language to communicate with computer elites, which
13、 can apply advanced technology to study of economics better. In HIT Innovation Experiment Plan Project, I was group leader and led the group to field survey, data sorting, modeling and analysis, finished paper Analysis of Second-hand House Price in Nangang District of Harbin, which was invited to th
14、e Second Innovation Forum of HIT. In the Project of National College Students Business Training and Entrepreneurship Practice, we obtained funds of 50000 yuan through our efforts. In addition, two of my practice thesis were awarded first prize. When I was really engaged in scientific research, I bec
15、ame to know that we should do research carefully and rigorously. Peking University is Chinas most cultural university while Shenzhen is a place which is developing fast, so HSBC Business School is the perfect combination of the both. Its beautiful campus, international education and the goal of inte
16、rnational first-class business school, all these deeply attract me. If lucky enough to enter HSBC Business School for further study, I plan to study hard at advanced microeconomics, macroeconomics, econometrics, financial economics and other main courses in the first year.I will cultivate basic skills, take part in forums and lectures and accumulate knowledge on mathematics and computer.
