6、,其直接引语是“Are you feeling better, Mrs. Zhou?” the journalist asked.下面我们来学习直接引语和间接引语的用法:在英语中,直接引用或复述别人的话叫做直接引语,转述别人的话叫做间接引语。直接引语和间接引语可以相互转化,但这种转化要遵循一定的原则,要注意转化时引导词的使用、人称代词、指示代词、时间状语和地点状语、语序和时态的变化。直接引语变为间接引语时,引导词要根据句子类型的不同来有所变化。(1)如果直接引语为一般疑问句时,变间接引语时要用whether / if引导,同时要把一般疑问句变为陈述句。Eg: 1) “ Is Tom going

7、 to the zoo?” I asked. I asked if / whether Tom was going to the zoo. 2) He asked me, “ Do you like playing computer games?” _(2) 如果直接引语是陈述句,变间接引语时,引导词用that,可省略。Eg: 1) She said, “ Im very glad to have such a chance.” She said ( that ) she was very glad to have such a chance.2) He said, “ I am hungry

8、.” _(3) 如果直接引语是特殊疑问句,变间接引语时要用相应的疑问词who, whom, whose, how, when等引导词,后面接陈述句。Eg: 1) “ Whose is this picture on the wall?” I asked. I asked whose that picture on the wall was.2) My sister asked me, “ What are you doing?” _(4) 如果直接引语为祈使句,变间接引语时多用不定式,变为ask / tell / order sb. ( not ) to do sth.的句式。Eg: 1) H

9、e said to her, “ Open the door, please.” He asked her to open the door.2) The teacher said to the students, “ Dont talk in class.”_(5) 【注意】直接引语变为间接引语时,指示代词、时间状语、地点状语要做相应的变化。Eg: 1) He asked me, “ Do you like this one?” He asked me if I liked that one. 2) She says, “ I will go to Beijing next month.”
