China has also experienced tremendous changes in many aspects, such as economy, society, education and family etc. There are also many cha

4、llenges for China in the 21st century. China is a developing country with the biggest population in the world. China has a huge population, but a weak economic foundation with relatively inadequate resources per capita. These are its basic national conditions. It is not an easy task to seek a way to

5、 achieve sustainable development with population, economy, society, resources and environment all in harmony.2. China is going to change the world in two fundamental respects .First of all, it is a huge developing country with a population of 1.3 billion people, which has been growing for over 30 years at around 10 percent a year. And within a decade, it will have the largest economy in th

9、e world. Never before in the modern ear has the largest economy in the world been that of a developing country, rather than a developed country. Secondly, for the first time in the modern ear, the dominate country in the world- which i think is what China will become- will be not from the West and f

10、rom very, very different civilizational roots. Now i know it is a widespread assumption in the West that, as countries modernize, they also Westernize. This is an illusion. Its an assumption that modernity is a product simply of competition, markets and technology. It is not; it is also shaped equal
