What would be an appropriate gift to your parents?,Background Knowledge No matter where you go in the world, there are a few universal manners all cultures appreciate and respect. Heres my list for the 10 most important: 1. Laugh - It may not sound like a manner, but havin

14、g a sense of humour is the most important part of being respected by any culture. Someone who can laugh at themselves is loved everywhere youll go.,2. Respect - Have respect for the cultures you are in. Be curious about how the people live, and dont be judge mental. Respect everyone for their unique

15、 contributions. 3. Please and Thank You - This is a big one. A simple please and thank you, in any language, opens doors and shows your respect. Use these two words often, and your travels will go well.,4. Hello and Goodbye - It may not sound like a big deal, but acknowledging people with a hello an

16、d a goodbye gets conversations going. And conversations lead to new friends. 5. Friends first, Money Later - Become friends with whoever youre doing business with. Even if youre just buying bread or sitting down to a meal. Being friendly and actively looking for friendship establishes yourself as a good person.,6. Think about Others First - This does not have to be difficult. Little things, like not spitting in public help. Think about how you would feel if someone wants to do what you
