2、esystemisamajorprecursorofthemoregeneric“Leanmanufacturing.“Toyotadevelopedthesystembetween1948and1975.Originallycalled“WJustInTimeProduction,“itbuildsontheapproachcreatedbythefounderofToyota.TPSOriginsToyotareceivedtheirinspirationforthesystem,onavisittoaPigglyWiggly,thedelegationwasinspiredbyhowth

6、onofwastehascometodominatethethinkingofmanywhentheylookattheeffectsoftheTPSbecauseitisthemostfamiliarofthethreetoimplement.IntheTFSmanyinitiaiivesaretriggeredbyoverburdenandinconsistencyreductionwhichdrivesoutwastewithoutspecificfocusonitsreduction.TPSPrinciplesTheunderlyingprinciples,calledtheToyot
