6、party?to be an engineer是动词不定式作表语。 e.g.To be a doctor, the most important thing is to save peoples lives. His job is to help make peoples teeth healthy.,maybe adv. perhaps; possibly 或许;可能 e.g.Maybe youll have better luck next time.maybe & may be 1.maybe在句子中作状语,相当于perhaps,常位于句首。 e.g.Maybe shell come t

7、his afternoon. 2.may be中may是情态动词,be是动词原形,两者构成完整的谓语形式,与主语形成系表结构,意为“也许是;可能是”。 e.g.I cant find my watch. It may be at home.He may be a soldier.,3.maybe和may be可相互转换。 e.g.He may be in the office. =Maybe he is in the office.a photo of myself 一张有我本人的照片,强调 的是“照片里有我”,同样可以说a photo of me 但是a photo of mine则表示“我

8、(拥有的)照片中 的一张”,强调的是“这是我的照片”,但照片里不 一定有我本人。,Grammar,A Wh- words (特殊疑问词) 当我们需要向别人提问获取信息时,经常会使用 到“特殊疑问句(Wh- questions)”。使用特殊疑 问句,就要用到“特殊疑问词(Wh-words)”。 常用的特殊疑问词主要有:What、Who、Why、 Which、Where、When、How等。,things,choosing people or things,What do you do for Spring Festival?,Which would you like?,We have a New

10、o you travel to school every day?,By bus.,特殊疑问词的主要用法: What针对“事物”提问; Where针对“处所”提问; When针对“时间”提问; Who针对“某人”提问; How old针对“年龄”提问; How many针对“数量”提问。Who的用法 (1) Who在特殊疑问句中作主语; e.g.Who lives in this house? (2) Who在特殊疑问句中作宾语,= whom。 e.g.Who / Whom are you looking for?,Which的用法 (1)Which后跟名词; e.g.你见了哪位大夫,伊利斯大

11、夫、格雷大夫还是希尔大夫?Which doctor did you see, DoctorEllis, Doctor Gray or Doctor Hill? (2)Which后不跟名词,只能用来指物,而不能用来指人。 e.g.哪个(国家)更大,加拿大还是澳大利亚?Which is bigger Canada or Australia?,What的用法 (1) What后跟名词; e.g.What size is this shirt? What time is it?What day is it today?(2) What后不跟名词。 e.g.Whats your favourite co

12、lour? 在使用上,Which更侧重于给出一些可供选择的 东西,而What则比较笼统。 e.g.There are four umbrellas here. Which is yours? What kind of music do you like?,Complete the questions with Wh- words according to the answers. 1._ is the girl in red? Shes my sister. 2._ does Toms mother do? Shes a nurse. 3._ does Mary work? She works

He works from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.,Who,What,Where,Why,When,How的用法 How常常用来针对“身体状况”、“做事的方式”、 “外表”、“天气”等进行提问。 e.g.How was the party last night? It was great.How do you usually go t
