6、间内发生的动作或存在的状态,常与yesterday,last week,in 1949,a few days ago,the other day,at one time等表示过去时间的时间状语连用。 阅读下列句子,注意时间状语与从句的动词形式 It was last night that Tom saw an interesting film in Dongfeng Cinema. 汤姆昨晚在东风电影院看了一部有趣的电影。 时间状语:last night 谓语动词:saw The flowers were sold in no time yesterday. 昨天的花很快就卖出去了。 时间状语
7、:yesterday 谓语动词:were sold,考点延伸 1)表示过去的习惯动作,常与often,usually,seldom等频度副词连用;used to do和would do也表示“过去常常”。 完成句子 He used to live(以前住在)in Australia,but now he lives in London. He used to go shopping(过去常去购物) every morning when he was a child. 2)在时间、条件、让步、方式等状语从句中,用一般过去时表示过去将来。 用动词的适当形式填空 The patient would

15、r storm broke. 他刚刚到达那里就开始下雪了。 Hardly had he arrived there when it began to snow. 5)有些动词如hope,wish,expect,think,intend,mean,suppose 等,用过去完成时表示“原本打算做而未做的事”。 翻译句子 The farmer had hoped to ask another farmer for help. 这个农夫本希望求助于另一个农夫。,6)It was+时间+since+主语+过去完成时。 翻译句子 It was two years since I had swum in
16、this river. 我已有两年没在这条河里游泳了。 7)It was the first(second.)time that+主语+过去完成时。 翻译句子 There was a knock at the door.It was the third time that someone had interrupted Dr.Yang that evening. 有人敲门。这是那天晚上第三次有人打扰杨医生了。 8)条件句用过去完成时,主句用would/should/could/might have done表示与过去事实不符的虚拟语气;条件句中有had,可省略if,把had提到句首,构成倒装。
