3、 Introduction Introduction About TMdN About the Help File About TMdN TMdrive-Navigator (TMdN) is a drive tool used to configure, commission, monitor, and debug TMEICs TMdrive Series and TMdrive-e2 Series drive products. TMdN supports easy creation of application specific configurations, enables effi
4、cient tuneup of the drives and empowers users to solve their own problems. TMdN accomplishes these goals by making expert knowledge and high performance data capture available and discoverable by the user. TMdN is designed to be easy to use by novice and expert alike, both local to and remote from t
5、he drive equipment. TMdrive-Navigator is a world class tool for TMEICs world class drives. About the Help File The primary aim of this help document is to familiarize you with the features of TMdN. This help document describes the features and functionalities of TMdN and assists you in using the too
6、l effectively. Starting TMdN Based on the requirements, TMdN can be installed in two modes, client-server and stand alone. The steps to start TMdN are different for each of these modes. Starting TMdN in Client-Server Mode To start TMdN in case of client-server installation, you first need to start t
7、he TMdN Service Manager. To start TMdN service manager, click Start, point to All Programs, point to TMdrive-Navigator, and then click TMdN Service Manager. Alternatively, you can start TMdN Service Manager by using the TMdN Service Manager icon on the desktop. - 3 - 4GBF0430Figure 1: Start TMdN Ser
8、vice Manager. The TMdN Services Manager dialog box is displayed that includes two tabs, General and Settings. 9、 servers. Status TheStatus field indicates the status of each server. TMdN Drive Server Select the TMdN Drive Server check box to make the drive server available for start, stop, or refresh actions. TMdN Trend Server Select the TMdN Trend Server check box to make the trend server available for start
10、, stop, or refresh actions. Start Click Start to start the selected servers. Stop Click Stop to stop the selected servers. Refresh Click Refresh to obtain the latest status of the selected servers. Note If you are starting the drive and client severs individually, you need to start the drive server

Set Trend ServerTo change the default IP address of the trend server, in theSet Trend Server box, enter the required IP address.Same as TMdN Server Select the Same as TMdN Server check box to specify the same IP address for the trend server and the drive server. Apply Click Applyt
13、o make the settings effective for the servers. Cancel Click Cancel to decline the specified settings. NoteIf you make changes to the default IP addresses of the drive and trend servers, you need to stop and restart the servers. After starting the drive server and trend server, start TMdN client. To
14、start TMdN, click Start, point to All Programs, point to TMdrive-Navigator, and then click TMdrive- Navigator. The system flashes an error message on entering the incorrect login ID. Password In the Password box, enter the valid password to the TMdN tool. The system flashes an
16、error message on entering the incorrect Password. Forgot Password Click the Forgot Password link to obtain help with the password. Remember my Login ID Select the Remember my Login ID check box to enable the system to remember your login ID. Sign In Click Sign In to log on to the TMdN tool.
