7、this way.这样做或许会好些。,(2) while 是连词，意思是“当的时候”，引导时间状语从句；当表示过去的情况时，时态常为以下三种情况：,a. 主句和从句谓语都用一般过去时。,e.g. She listened carefully while he read.,当他读的时候，她认真地倾听,b. 从句的谓语用过去进行时，主句谓语用一般过去时。,e.g. While the water was heating, Mr. Smith swept the floor.,在水加热的时候，史密斯先生开始扫地,c. 主句和从句谓语都用过去进行时。,e.g. While I was having d

11、在有些情况下只能用 “whether”而不能用“if”。,1 具有选择意义，有or 或 or not 时。I wonder whether it is big enough or not. 2 在介词之后作介词宾语时。I worry about whether I hurt his feelings.,3 在不定式前，与不定式构成词组时。She hasnt decided whether to go or not. 4 引导主语从句或表语从句时。Whether it is true or not remains a question. 5 作discuss 等词的宾语时。We discusse
