12、e is half the size of ours. 他们的房子是我们的一半大。,+a./ad. + enough to do sth.: 表示“做某事已经足够了”。enough 在该结构中作副词,必须置于所修饰的形容词或副词之后。 e.g. (1) He is old enough to live on his own. 他已经到了能够独立生活的年龄了。 (2) She works hard enough to pass the test. 她非常用功,完全能够通过考试。 注意:当enough作形容词修饰名词时,要放在所修饰的名词前面。enough后面不能接从句。,该句为虚拟语气用法,是对

13、过去不可能发生或没有发生的事情进行假设。意译:只要头儿发话,坦戈都会毕恭毕敬,俯首听命。 e.g. If his wife had told him the truth, he would have forgiven her. 他妻子要是把真相告诉他,他也就原谅她了。 tail: n.
