4、供九年级全年使用，其中每个单元都列出明确的语言目标、主要的功能与语言结构以及需要掌握的基本词汇，并分为 A 和 B 两部分，A 部分是基本的语言内容，展开目标句型，提供部分示例和指导性练习，B 部分是知识的扩展和语言的综合运用，每个单元还附有 SELF CHECK 部分，供学生用来自我检测本单元所学的语言知识，使学生对学过的目标句型运用自如，该教材把直接法，听说法等教学方法有机地柔和在一起，充分考虑了 12-15 岁年龄段学生的心理和生理特点，照顾到了知识性，趣味性和运用性诸方面，突出了学生主体性，兼顾了个别差异，发展了学习策略，本册教材要求学习和掌握的语法知识有情态动词，情态动词的被动语态，
