1、英语课堂的延伸 - 桐屿中学麻老师（新目标英语 ( Go for it ) 中格言、谚语教学）第一，把格言、谚语用在词汇教学中。第二，把格言、谚语用在阅读课文教学 中。第三 ，把格言、谚语用在语法教学中 。第四 ，把格言、谚语用在新课导课、 复习归纳中。 第一，把格言、谚语用在词汇教学 中。新目标（go for it）的词汇量很 大，课堂上引出只是一些重要词汇 ，还有一大部分词汇需学生课前课 后花时间去记。教单元新课前我会 花一个早读课时间放磁带教读单词 ，而纯粹领读单词有点单调，所以 加一些谚语，这样把单词放入句子 里学。学生不仅学单词，也可拓展 知识面。 例如学apple这个单词时（初一上
2、第六单元 第34页），加上谚语an apple a day ,keeps the doctor away(一天一个苹果，把医生赶 走)，学生既学到新词的用法，又学到了保 健知识；教father ，son ，mother ，daughter时可 用like father like son（ 有其必父有其子） ， like mother like daughter（有其母必有 其女）等句子，朗朗上口，通俗易的懂；教first, then时可用（ First think and then speak.先想后说）；例如学time这个单词时，通过组词造句， 进行惜时勤学教育.可引用下面警句： Time

Everything has its time and that time must be watched . （ 时间是金钱。 时间是生命。 万物皆有时，时不可失。）、Time and tide waits for no man.（岁月不等人）。教good的比较级 better .best时 配合英文诗“good ,better ,best ，never let it rest , till good is better , and better is best”来 丰富教学内容，扩大学生的知 识面 ，从而提高他们的学习兴 趣。 第二，把格
4、言、谚语用在阅读课文教学中 。新目标（go for it）的词汇量很大，如 果让学生尤其是初一的学生一次性记亿太 多的内容会增加学生的负担，那么结合课 文教学和阅读指导，可使用一些格言，谚 语，进行启发式教学。这样既能拓展学生 的知识面又能保护他们的兴趣。格言、谚 语的选择一般依照两方面：首先所选的格 言、谚语要通俗易懂，便于学生记忆。其 次，所选的格言、谚语尽量与所学的单元 内容相结合。初一上册的： Unit 1 My name is Gina.（love me love my dog 爱 乌及屋） Unit 2 Is this your pencil ? （A good book is a
5、 good friend. 好书如挚友） Unit 3 This is my sister. (like father like son 有其 父必有其子， like mother like daughter有其母必 有其女) Unit 4 Where is my backpack ? （Where there is a will, there is a way.有志者事竟成 ） Unit 5 Do you have a soccer ball ? （ One boy is a boy, two boys half a boy, three boys no boy. 一个和尚挑水喝，两个和尚抬
6、水喝， 三个和尚没水喝。） Unit 6 Do you like bananas ? （An apple a day ,keeps the doctor away 一天一个苹果，把医生赶 走）.Unit 7 How much are these pants ?（money isnt everything.金钱并不是万能的。Like tree, like fruit. 羊毛出在羊身上。） Unit 8 When is your birthday ? （When wine is in truth, wit is out.酒后吐真言。） Unit 9 Do you want o go to a mo
