2、 1.RULES 1.1The regatta will be governed by the rules as defined in the ISAF Racing Rules of Sailing (RRS), except as any of these are changed by these Sailing Instructions.1.2Subject to the approval of the race office, which must be obtained before the first race, a boat may be exempted from the re

3、quirements of RRS Appendix G Identification on Sails and, in addition, from the requirements of Rule 78.1 in respect of the measurement of sails provided with a chartered boat.1.3The prescriptions of the Hong Kong national authority, the Hong Kong Sailing Federation (HKSF), will not apply. 1.4Person

4、al Flotation Devices (PFDs) in good serviceable condition shall be worn at all times whilst competitors are afloat.2.NOTICES TO COMPETITORS 2.1Notices to competitors will be posted on the official notice board located at the STA Clubhouse, Little Palm Beach.3.CHANGES TO SAILING INSTRUCTIONS 3.1Any c

5、hange to the Sailing Instructions will be posted before 0900 hours on the day it will take effect except that any change to the schedule of races (SI 5) will be posted by 2000 hours on the day before it will take effect.4.SIGNALS MADE ASHORE 4.1Signals made ashore will be displayed from the flagpole

6、 located at the STA Clubhouse. The signals shall have the following meanings:4.1.1IC Flag V with two sound signals “No boat shall go afloat until the signal is lowered (with one sound signal). The first warning signal will be made not less than 60 minutes after IC Flag V is lowered.”4.1.2IC Flag AP

7、with two sound signals “The race is postponed. The first warning signal will be made not less than 60 minutes after Flag AP is lowered (with one sound signal).” This changes RRS Race Signals.25.SCHEDULE OF RACES 5.1The regatta is scheduled to comprise of three races per day, i.e. a total of nine rac

8、es. Notwithstanding, at the discretion of the race committee if conditions are suitable, additional races may be sailed after completion of the scheduled last race of the day on any racing day. If additional races are to be run, the race committee boat at the finishing line of the scheduled Races 3,

9、 6 and 9 will display IC Flag L requiring finished boats to remain in the vicinity.5.2Four races will require to be completed to constitute the regatta series.5.3The event schedule is:Sat. 29 Sept.2007Race 1 Warning signal for Open Dinghy division 1055hours Warning signal for Optimist Class 1100 War

13、 has not been made by 1500 hours on the last day of the regatta will be abandoned and not resailed. 6.CLASS FLAGS 6.1The division/class (warning) flags for competing classes will be as listed hereunder. Classes will start in the order that their division/class flags are signaled.Division/ClassDivisi

16、nd Notes at Attachment B to these Sailing Instructions. The course for each race will be signaled by the display of the appropriate numeral pennant on the race committee boat together with a red or green flag or board to denote port-hand or starboard-hand rounding, all prior to or with the warning signal.8.2The compass bearing from the starting line to the first mark o
