Sincethesteady-stateperformanceofthesystemisgovernedbythecharacteristicsof thetransferfunctionatlowfrequency,andthedampingorthetransientbehaviorofthe systemisgovernedbytherelativelyhigh-frequencycharacteristics,asFig.8shows,tosi- multaneouslysatisfythetransientandthesteady-staterequirements

16、,thefrequencylocusof Gp(s)hastobereshapedsothatthehigh-frequencyportionoftheplotfollowstheK3.4 trajectoryandthelow-frequencyportionfollowstheK100trajectory.Thesignificanceof thisreshapingofthefrequencylocusisthatthecompensatedlocusshowninFig.8willbe coincidentwiththehigh-frequencyportionyieldingPM30,whilethezero-frequency gainismaintainedat100tosatisfythesteadystatereq
