1、 谨以此论文献给所有给予我关怀和帮助的人谨以此论文献给所有给予我关怀和帮助的人 -韩韩 娇娇 概念整合理论视角下的双关语分析 摘 要 双关语作为一种常见的语言现象和文化现象影响着人们生活的方方面面， 并且许多国内外学者对双关语给予一定的关注。然而，以往的双关语的研究大多局限在双关语的语用效果或翻译方法等传统语言学的角度。 有少数学者从认知语言学这一新角度针对双关语现象提出过一些观点和看法， 但对于其意义构建过程却没有详细阐释。 概念整合理论是由 Fauconnier 和 Turner 等人提出的。 它具有完整的理论框架及完善的运作机制,其基本运作需要四个心智空间:两个输入空间， 一个类属空间和
2、一个合成空间。在整合过程中，两个输入空间的成分被有选择地投射到合成空间里，通过组合、完善和阐释，在合成空间里形成一个突显结构。该理论因在分析多种语言现象的意义建构上方面表现出强大的阐释力。 许多学者从不同的角度对其进行了论证，但至今很少有人将概念整合理论运用到双关语的研究中。 本文尝试运用概念整合理论对双关语的意义构建过程进行分析。 概念整合网络是概念整合理论的核心，它主要包括四种网络类型，即单一网络、镜像网络、单域网络和双域网络。为使研究更加清晰明了，本文特地将双关语按照概念整合的四种网络类型进行分类，并且分别予以例证。通过分析，本文指出，在理解双关语的过程中， 概念整合的不同网络都能够遵照
3、各自的运作机制对双关语做出详尽的分析，揭示出双关语的意义构建过程过程。这一发现证实了概念整合理论具有强大的阐释力，也为英语双关语的研究做出了贡献。同时，本文也指出了此项研究的不足之处以及对今后相关领域研究的启示。 关键词：概念整合理论；概念整合网络；英语双关语；意义构建 i The Analysis of Puns from the Perspective of Conceptual Integration Theory Abstract English pun is an important linguistic and cultural phenomenon, which has infl
4、uenced people from all walks of life. It has always attracted many scholars attention both at home and abroad. However, former studies have mainly been made from the perspective of traditional linguistics, including their pragmatic functions, translation methods, etc. Not many studies have been made
5、 from the perspective of cognitive linguistics, which is regarded as a new approach to study English puns. Many scholars have put forward some views and methods on English puns, but very few have tried to explain the meaning construction process of English puns. Conceptual integration theory is put
6、forward by Fauconnier and Turner in their work Conceptual Integration Network (Fauconnier and Turner, 1998). It possesses complete theoretical framework and sophisticated operating mechanism. There are four mental spaces in the basic operation: two input spaces, one generic space and one blended spa
7、ce. In conceptual integration, structures from input spaces are selectively projected into the blended space. Through composition, completion and elaboration, a new structure called emergent structure appeared. Many scholars both at home and abroad have studied the great explanatory power conceptual
8、 integration theory in many linguistic phenomena. but few of them apply this theory systematically into the interpretation of English puns. This thesis is a tentative study that focuses on analyzing the meaning construction process of English puns through conceptual integration theory. The most impo
9、rtant part of conceptual integration theory lies in its networks: simplex network, mirror network, single-scope network and double-scope network. To make the study more clear, the thesis classifies puns on the basis of the four sub-networks of CIT ii and presents examples respectively. Through the a
10、nalysis, it is pointed out that all the networks can work according to their operation principles to analyze different English puns and demonstrate their meaning construction process of. It proves the strong explanatory power of conceptual integration theory and also makes contributions to the relev
11、ant study of English puns. Meanwhile, the limitations of this thesis have been pointed out and some suggestions are made for further study.
