The profound significance of the novel lies in Hester Prynnes transformation to the society and her achievement of true love through her own efforts. Besides, she changes peoples secular attitude toward the scarlet letter, and gives it more
4、 positive significance that reflected the female spirit. This thesis describes Hester Prynnes personality in multiple points of view.
