1、强调句型的译法强调句型的译法英语中常采用变换词序、加助动词或“It isthat”句型等方法来增强句子或句子中某些成分的语气。翻译时一般要把强调语气用适当的汉语表达出来，在译文中可把强调成分放在句首，也可以加上“的确”、“究竟”、“务必”、“千万”、“就是”、“正是”等词用来增加强调语气。 （1）英语动词前加上助动词do，译成汉语时可以使用“的确”。“务必”、“确实” 、“真的”、“一定”等词来突出强调语气。She does look puzzled. 她确实显得困惑不解。 The road is very slipperyDo be careful when you go out 路上很滑，
2、你出门时务必小心。I do like costume designing very much我真的很喜欢服装设计。 Do Stay for supper！一定要留下吃晚饭！ (2) 加在what，where, who, why, how等疑问词以及某些否定词和形容词最高级后面 的 the devil，the hell，on earth，in heaven, the dickens等词组，可译成汉语“究竟”、 “到底”、“全然”、“一点也”、“极”等词。Who the devil is a old man？那个老头究竟是谁？What the hell are you doing？你到底在干些什么
3、呢？ No use on earth！一点也没有用！What the dickens is it？这究竟是什么？ （3）在翻译“It isthat”这种强调句型时，可在被强调部分之前加上“正是”、 “就是”、“是”等词突出强调语气。如果被强调部分本身就带有“只有”、“直 到才”等表示强调语气的词那么译成汉语时就不必再加上“正是”等词。It is X-rays that can penetrate some opaque materials 能穿透某些不透明材料的正是X射线。It is this motion which we call heat 我们称之为热的就是这种运动。It was I m
