1、计算机英语第 10讲 计算机英语第10 讲主讲：王雱 【教学设计思想】 本节课是计算机英语选修课的第十讲，课文内容为 CPU 的概况简介。 针对以前学习的知识，首先让学生明确 CPU 在计算机硬件中的重要性， 然后提出问题，请同学们谈谈自己对 CPU 的认识，之后结合着实物图片 来加深一下感性认识，激发学生的求知欲望，最后阅读讲解一篇关于 CPU 概况的英语文章，使他们在学习计算机知识的同时，也完成对英语 知识的学习。 【教学目标】 知识目标：1、理解课文，掌握课文中的英文计算机新词汇 2、加深对 CPU 的理解 思想目标：能够通过听课、看图、自由发言，进一步体会和建立用将 英语和计算机学科相

It contains the circuits that control all the operations of a computer system. Once the power of a com

4、puter is turned on, all the behaviors（行为）are under the control of CPU. CPU is composed of three key components: control unit, Arithmetic-Logic Unit(ALU) and registers. Control Unit: The control unit is one of the most important parts of CPU because it is in charge of the entire（整个的，全部的） process. The

5、 control unit reads an instruction and creates control signals that tell the ALU and the registers how to operate, what to operate on, and what to do with the result. The control unit makes sure everything happens in the right place at the right time. Arithmetic-Logic Unit: The ALU is the last stage

6、 of processing in the chip. It can perform commands like adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing. It also knows how to read logic commands like TRUR, FALSE, OR, AND, or NOT. Messages from the control unit tell the ALU what is should do and then it takes data from its close companion（同伴，伙伴）, th

7、e registers, to complete the task. Registers: The registers are a mini-storage area for data used by the ALU to complete the tasks the control unit has requested. The data comes from the data cache, main memory or the control unit and is stored at special locations within the registers. This makes r
