3、further study.Analysis of the teaching material:This period is from Go for it, book 1, unit 8, which is designed for the students of Grade 7. The topic of this unit is about dates. And this unit is aimed at teaching students to talk about dates. There are three parts in this period. The first part i

4、s about learning the 12 months and dates. The second part is listening practice. The last part is an activity of pair-work. The topic is not new to the students, it is not so hard for them to understand and master.Analysis of the students:The students of Grade 7 have 4 years basic learning experienc

5、e in English since primary school. The students have already grasped some words about dates in primary school. Today, we are going to learn more about it and consolidate what they have learnt. Moreover, students dare not to speak English or communicate with partners confidently and their pronunciati

6、on and intonation should be paid more attention to. But they have strong curiosity and ability of imitation, they like interesting and funny things. And students of grade 7 are on the way of maturation both physically and mentally. Their abilities, senses of cooperation and competition have been str

7、engthened. New knowledge is much easier for them to master. Teaching aims:Knowledge aims: 1. After learning this period, students should grasp the spelling, pronunciation and meaning of new words, such as when, birthday, month, January, February, second, third, fourth, etc.2. Students can use the ne
