In order to appeal English teachers to take full advantage of the body language in English teaching, the author presents this paper to explain the importance

4、 of body language in English teaching, through discussing the types and the specific functions of body language frequently employed in the process of English teaching .She also presents her teaching experience and a survey report to support her viewpoint that the appropriate application of body lang

5、uage by English teacher in middle school can improve teaching efficiency greatly.
