3、问路和指路。三、教学准备教学课件、多媒体等。四、教学过程Step I Warming-upWatch and answerShow a cartoon Where is the library? and ask Ss to answer the questions.1. Which two places are mentioned in the cartoon? 2. Is the bank on the Queens Road?设计意图:通过呈现两组人物问路的场景,谈论有关事物的地理位置的动画,引出本单元话题,激发学生对新课探究的欲望,增强学习兴趣。Step II Pre-listening

4、Teach some new words of this unit and ask Ss to read them.Activity 11. Show the four pictures of Activity 1 and ask Ss to talk about the questions.(1) Where are the people in each picture?(2) What are they doing? 2. Ask Ss to match the words from the box with the pictures and check their answers in

5、pairs.3. Ask Ss to listen and number the places as they hear. Then check the answers together.Activity 2Ask Ss to work in pairs to say which places in Activity 1 they can find in their hometown and where they are.设计意图:教学新单词后,通过让学生完成Activity 1和Activity 2,既巩固所学单词,又锻炼学生的听说能力,同时还为下面的内容做铺垫。Step III While

11、ngan Jie此处的 go across = cross , 表示“穿过”,前者across是介词,而后面的cross是动词。【辨析】 across和throughacross和through都可表示“从(一定范围的)一边到另一边”,其区别在于:across表示某一范围的表面进行某一动作。through表示在某一范围的内部空间进行某一动作。e.g. Be careful when you go across the street. It took us two hours to walk through the forest. 3. opposite the bank. 此处的opposit

12、e用作介词,意为“在的对面”,相当于across from。opposite还可作形容词,意为“对面的”。常用结构为:be opposite to 和相对e.g. Her house is opposite to mine.opposite还可作名词,意为“对立面”。常用结构为:the opposite of. 的反义词 / 对立面e.g. Black is the opposite of white. opposite还可作副词,意为“在对面”。e.g. He stood opposite.设计意图:讲解知识点,加深对对话的理解,检验学生对本单元词汇的掌握情况。Activity 41.
