4、 Engineering at Virginia Tech, and the Director of Advanced Vehicle Dynamics Laboratory. She received her Engineer Diploma from the Bucharest Polytechnic Institute in Romania (1991), and her M.S. (1995) and Ph.D. (2000) in Mechanical Engineering from The University of Iowa. She worked at Michigan Te

5、ch as a visiting and research faculty for three years before joining Virginia Tech as an assistant professor in 2003. Dr. Sandus research focuses on modeling and simulation of multibody systems, uncertainty treatment in dynamical systems, parameter estimation for mechanical systems, stochastic soil

6、and terrain modeling, on-road and off-road vehicle dynamics, tire and track modeling, and terramechanics. In 2012 she was elected ASME fellow, and also received the Deans Award for Excellence in Service from the College of Engineering at Virginia Tech. In 2007 she received the SAE Ralph R. Teetor Ed

7、ucational Award. Dr. Sandu is an active member of SAE, ASME, ISTVS, and ASEE; she is the SAE Chassis and Suspension Committee vice-chair and the ASME Vehicle Design Committee chair. Dr. Sandu is Editor-in-chief of the SAE International Journal for Commercial Vehicles, Editor of the Journal of Terram

8、echanics, and Editorial board member of the International Journal of Vehicle Systems Modelling and Testing; she served as guest co-editor of the Journal of Mechanical Systems and Signal Processing, Special Issue on Interdisciplinary Aspects of Vehicle System Dynamics Integration. Dr. Sandus research

9、 has been supported with funding over $2.2 million by agencies such as NSF, NASA, and AAR, centers such as the Automotive Research Center (ARC), and companies such as Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company and Caterpillar. Among her scholarly publications are 35 journal articles and 56 peer-reviewed confere

10、nce proceedings. Dr. Sandu graduated 7 Ph.D. and 12 M.S. students.2、Professor Vladimir V. Vantsevich , D.Sc., PhDDr. Vladimir V. Vantsevich is a Professor in Mechanical Engineering and the founding Director of the Master of Science in Mechatronic Systems Engineering Program at Lawrence Technological

11、 University, Michigan. He is also a co-founder and the Associate Director of the Automotive Engineering Institute. Prior to Lawrence Tech, Dr. Vantsevich was a Professor and the Head of Research and Design Group on Multi-Wheel Drive Vehicles that designed and developed a number of mechatronic and me

12、chanical driveline systems for various purpose vehicles in Belarus. He earned his Ph.D. and D.Sc. (the highest degree in the former U.S.S.R.) degrees in Automobile and Tractor Engineering from Belarusian National Technical University approved by the Higher Awarding Committee of the Russian Federatio

13、n.Prof. Vantsevichs research interests have focused on inverse and direct dynamics, on mechanical and mechatronic system modeling, design and control with applications to autonomous and conventional vehicles and vehicle locomotion and driveline systems. He is author of 4 technical books and more tha

14、n 100 research papers on inverse/direct vehicle dynamics, vehicle performance optimization and control, and driveline systems design. Prof. Vantsevich delivered more than 110 science seminars, invited lectures and technical presentations at academic institutions and to industry. He a registered inve

15、ntor of the U.S.S.R. and holds 30 certified inventions. Prof. Vantsevich is the Founder and Editor of a series of handbooks, textbooks, and references on the subject of Ground Vehicle Engineering, CRC Press/Taylor and Francis Group. He is a member of the Editorial Board of the International Journal

16、of Vehicle Autonomous Systems and an Associate Editor of the International Journal of Vehicle Noise and Vibration. He is also a member of the Editorial Board of the Journal of Multi-body Dynamics (Part K of the Proceedings of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers).Prof. Vantsevich achieved the status of Fellow of ASME. He is a member of Association of Vehicle Autonomous Systems International, SAE, International Society for Terrain-Vehicle Systems, and International Association
