1、可数名词与不可数名词 可数名词有单数、复数之分；不可数名词没有复数形式，只有单数形式。 表示泛指时：不定冠词 a （an）+可数名词单数；而不可数名词不能用 a（an）。 如：Li Hong is a driver. I am a teacher.李红是一名司机，我是一名教师。 We cant see milk on the table.我们看不见桌上有牛奶。 表示特指时：定冠词 the+不可数名词/可数名词 如：Pass me the ball，please.请把球传给我。 The chicken on the plate is yours.盘子里的鸡肉是你的。 many 等词+可数名词复数
2、。如：many apples，a lot of tomatoes，a few pens much、a little 等词+不可数名词。如：much meat，a little bread，little water some、any、a lot of （lost of） 等+可数名词复数/不可数名词 如：some eggs/paper（纸）。 A lot of （lots of） knives/orange juice 可数名词前通常可用具体的数词来修饰。 如： three women，ten babies 不可数名词表示数量的多少时，必须与表示数量的名词连用，即“数词+量词+of+不可数名词”
3、。 如： two glasses of milk两杯牛奶five pieces of bread五片面包 同时，可数名词也有相应用法，如：a box of apples 一箱苹果 six boxes of apples 六箱苹果 等。 可数名词做主语时，谓语动词的单、复数与主语的单、复数须保持一致。 不可数名词做主语时，谓语动词只能用单数形式。 如：There is some rice in the bowl.碗里有些米饭。 All the students are in the classroom.所有的学生都在教室里。 如果不可数名词前有复数名词短语修饰时，谓语动词须用复数形式。 如：Th
4、ere are two bags of rice in the room.房间里有两袋子大米。 对可数名词的数量提问用how many； e.g. I can see two pictures on the wall.How many pictures can you see on the wall？ 对不可数名词的数量提问要用 how much； e.g. There is a lot of pork in the basket.How much pork is there in the basket？ 但对不可数名词前表示数量名词中的修饰语提问时要用how many。 e.g.I want
5、 three glasses of water.How many glasses of water do you want？ 注意： 可数名词的复数形式的变化规律： 1、a一般情况下，直接加-s，如：book-books, bag-bags, cat-cats, bed-beds ； 以 s. x. sh. ch 结尾，加-es，如：bus-buses, box-boxes, brush-brushes, watch-watches ； 以“辅音字母+y”结尾，变 y 为 i, 再加-es，如：family-families, strawberry-strawberries ； 以“f 或 f
6、e”结尾，变 f 或 fe 为 v, 再加-es，如：knife-knives ，thief-thieves； 以“o”结尾的词，分两种情况 1）有生命的+es如：mango-mangoestomato-tomatoeshero-heroes 2) 无生命的+s如：photo-photosradio-radios f. 不规则名词复数： man-men, woman-women, policeman-policemen, policewoman-policewomen, mouse-mice, child-children, foot-feet, tooth-teeth, 2、除此之外，还有一
7、部分名词单复数同形，如： fish 鱼，deer 鹿，sheep 绵羊， Swiss 瑞士人，Chinese 中国人， goods 商品，people 人民 3、有一些名词则只有复数形式： trousers 裤子，pants 裤子，shorts 短裤，glasses 眼镜， 4、“某国人”的复数有三种类型： Chinese, Japanese, Swiss 三国人单数复数同形，不需加 s； Englishman, Frenchman, Dutchman 复数要把 man 变为men； 其他各国人以an, -ian 收尾的均直接加s。如：Americans, Australians, India
