2、ome to the classroom very early this morning.值日的那个学生今天一早就来到了教室。The workers were on strike.工人们在罢工。（2） on 后面接动名词时，常作状语，相当于 as soon as引导的时间状语从句，如：On reading the letter(= As soon as he read the letter), he found that a servant of the family in France had been put in prison, though no fault of his own. 一
3、看完信，他就知道他法国家里的一个仆人无辜地被关进了监狱。On his arrival in Paris(= When he arrived in Paris), he was recognized as a noble and thrown into prison.他一到达巴黎，立即被人认为是贵族，因而被投进了监狱。（3） on + the + 动词转化来的名词，表示一个正在进行的动作。如：Keep the kettle on the boil.(= boiling)让壶里的水开着。2、表示被动意义的情况on 后面接具有及物意义的动作名词时，通常表示被动意义。如：Color TV sets a
4、re on sale here.这里在出售彩电。The flowers on show are from the public garden.正在展出的那些花是从公园里运来的。二、介词 in 的用法 1、动词 +in （1）动词 + in believe in 信任 break in 碎成 bring in 引起；产生；带来 call in 下令收回，fill in 填充 get in 收获 hand in 上缴 involve in 涉及，lie in 在于 result in 导致 share in 共享 succeed in 成功，take in 卷起；订阅 turn in 归还当局。
5、（2）动词 +sb./time/money+ in help sb. in 帮助某人做某事 spare time/money in 匀出时间或钱做某事，spend time/money in 花时间或钱做某事 waste time/money in 浪费时间或钱做某事。 2、be +形容词+ in be active in 活跃于 be absorbed in 专心致志 be busy in 忙碌be born in 出生于 be concerned in 牵涉 be clothed in 穿着be disappointed in 对 失望 be diligent in 勤于be experi

8、 从理论上看 in trouble 有麻烦 in tears 眼泪汪汪in time 及时 in turn 按顺序 in vain 白白地 in view 看得见三、介词 under 的用法 1、用作介词，基本义为“在下”。如：under the table（在桌下），under the bed（在床下），under the tree（在树下）等。注意：under 在很多情况下含义较抽象。如：under in the circumstances 在这些情况下 under present conditions 在目前情况下 under sbs leadership 在某人的领导下 under o
9、nes direction 在某人的指导下 under the care of在某人的照顾下under ones control 在某人的控制下 2、有时英语虽然用了介词 under, 但在汉语中却并不译为“在 下”。如：He wore a vest under his jacket. 他在夹克里穿了件背心。I was under the impression that he was honest, but infact he was a thief. 我认为他很诚实，但实际上他是个贼。注意：有时后接某些具有动作意义的名词，表示“在中”。如：under discussion（在讨论中），und
10、er repair（在修缮中），under construction（在建设中），under consideration（在考虑中）等。3、在很多情况下汉语中“在下”并不能用英语的 under 来套译。如：（1）表示在某人的帮助下，一般用介词 with。如：He got back his wallet with the help of the police. 在警察的帮助下，他找回了自己的钱包。（2）表示在(太)阳光下，一般用介词 in。如：Don t read in the sun. 不要在阳光下看书。The cat likes to sit in the sun. 猫喜欢坐在阳光下（即晒太
