2、trict with us.老师对我们总是要求严格。（2）be strict in sth. 意为“对某事要求严格”。如：Linda is always strict in her work.琳达对她的工作总是要求严格。2. with 带有；具有There was a big living room with a TV.这儿有一间带电视的大起居室。上面例句中的with a TV是介词短语，在句中作定语，修饰a big living room。with意为“带有；具有”。如：I have a house with a swimming pool.我有一所带游泳池的房子。句法精析1. 3、were you born?你在哪里出生？be born意为“出生”，并且动词be常常用过去式was或were。be born后面可跟不同的介词短语，表示出生的时间、地点。如：When were you born?你何时出生？Li Gang was born in Beijing.李刚在北京出生。He was born on February 12th, 1999.他在1999年2月12日出生。2. What were they like?他们怎么样？What+be+sb.+like?意为“某人怎么样”，用来询问某人的性格特点，常用nice, friendly, kind等表示性格特点的形容词
4、回答。如：What is Tom like?汤姆怎么样？He is friendly.他很友好。与这个问句类似的还有：What+do/does+sb.+look like?用来询问某人的外表、长相，常用tall（高的）, short（矮的）, fat（胖的）, thin（瘦的）, good?鄄looking（好看的）等表示外形相貌特点的形容词回答。如：What does Susan look like?苏珊长得怎么样？She is thin.她很瘦。3. It was great to play there.在那里玩是很棒的。此句是英语中的常用句型，其结构为：It+be+adj.+to do
