2、恋的背后其实隐藏着一段执着的圣杯追寻。主人公亨伯特是位现代的圣杯骑士,努力追寻和捍卫自己的目标。同时,他也兼具着现代人的特征,他的追寻带有着太多现代的气息。他所谓“神圣”的圣杯,他的小仙女,不过是他欲望的产物。他的追寻执着且残忍。文章主要分析亨伯特追寻圣杯的过程:寻找圣杯追寻圣杯守护圣杯。同时解读主人公追寻圣杯的现代意义。亨伯特为了满足自己的欲望,展开了自私且残忍的追寻。追寻的动机不再高尚,追寻的圣杯也不再纯洁神圣。故事神秘却不神圣,结局惨淡,恰好与现代人的很多行径相吻合。这个现代的圣杯追寻故事,以一种别样的方式为我们敲响了警钟。论文第一章介绍了作者和作品以及国内外的相关研究。第二章为理论基础

Many readers are fond of the story, while others feel sick of it. Most scholars and readers would like
4、 to evaluate the novel from the perspective of morality. Apart from morality and pure love, the novel has charms in other aspects as well. With the development of criticism and theory in literature, were offered with more perspectives to appreciate literary works. The approach of archetype criticism
5、 seems mysterious which dates back to the ancient tales and connects with the modern reality. Carl G. Jung put forward his theory of collective unconsciousness which is the core concept for his archetype criticism and his theory broadens our horizon to analyze the literary works.In my thesis, the ap
6、proach of C.Jungs archetype criticism is adopted. In fact, the incest between Humbert and Lolita conceals a persistent pursuit of the Great Grail out of my understanding and research. The protagonist Humbert is a knight who pursues and fights for his Great Grail. But as a modern human, his pursuit c
7、ombines too much modern elements. His“holy”grail, his nymphet-Lolita is nothing but his excessive desire. His quest is persistent but cruel. The thesis aims to analyze the process of Humberts quest: the affection to nymphetsthe pursuit of the grailthe fight for the grail. Then it is necessary and me
8、aningful to analyze the significance of the Humberts modern pursuit. Humbert pursues his grail for his own desire, whose motivation is no longer noble. And the grail he pursues is neither pure nor holy. The story is mysterious but not holy, the end is also miserable. All this happens to accord with
9、some of the modern features. Thus Humberts pursuit of his grail gives us an alarm of the modern pursuing.In the first chapter, the introduction to both the author and the novel are displayed, and the latest reviews help to form my points. Chapter two comes to the theoretical foundation including C.J
10、ungs archetype criticism and the legend of the“Great Grail”. Then in Chapter three and Chapter four come to the main body of the thesis: the life before Humbert becomes a knight and pursues for his Great Grail and the road of his pursuit and fight for his Great Grail. At last, there will be a conclu
