Task 3. 形容词的比较级和最高级的构成：规则变化和不规则变化。1. 规则变化在大多数短形容词词尾加er变成比较级，加est变成最高级。 以字母e结尾的短形容词，只加r或st变成比较级或最高级以辅音字母加y结尾的短形容词，先把y变成i再加er或est.一个原音字母加一个辅音字母结尾的，并且是重读闭音节结尾的短形容词，双写这个辅音字母，再加er或est 在长形容词前加more变
5、成比较级，加most变成最高级。2. 不规则变化原级 比较级 最高级good _ _well _ _bad _ _ill _ _many _ _much _ _little _ _far _ _old_ _Task 4. 形容词比较级的使用 1）两个事物进行比较时，使用比较级。如：Betty looks slimmer than her friend.2）两个事物进行选择时，使用比较级。如：Which book is better, this one or that one?3）两个事物中“较的一个”时，使用比较级，比较级前加the如：He is the younger of the two
6、boys.4) 表示“越,越”时，使用the+比较级，the +比较级。如：The more you eat, the fatter you will become.5) 表示“越来越”时，使用比较级+and+比较级。如：The child grows taller and taller.English is becoming more and more important.6）形容词前面可以用much、even、still、a little等词修饰。如: Its a little colder today than yesterday. The storybook is much more
7、interesting than that one.Task 5形容词最高级的使用1）三者或者三者以上事物相比时，使用最高级。形容词最高级前面加冠词the,句尾常有in/of的短语，表示比较范围。如：He is the tallest boy of the three.The story is the most interesting one in this book.2）三者或者三者以上事物做选择时，使用最高级。如：Which is the heaviest, the dog, the pig or the sheep?3）表示在一定范围内“最之一”时，使用最高级。如：China is on
8、e of the oldest countries in the world.4）形容词最高级前有物主代词，指示代词和名词所有格时，冠词the可以省略。如：Today is her happiest day in her life.5）形容词和序数词一起使用。如：The river is the second longest one in this country.5. 原级、比较级、最高级之间的转换1)原级和比较级之间的转换 He is younger than me. = He isnt as old as me.2)比较级和最高级之间的转换 He is the tallest boy in his class. = He is taller than any other boy in his class. = He is taller than the other boys in his class.Task 6.
