1、Periods 910ProjectProducing a TV show整体设计教材分析本单元的project (制作一个电视节目)致力于通过组织学生做一个研究项目来帮助学生们全面提高运用英语的能力。首先,学生们必须仔细阅读一篇介绍鲨鱼利用嗅觉攻击“敌人”的科学小品文,并在此基础上以小组活动的形式自己制作一个以动物感觉为主题的电视节目。这个部分的目的是让学生灵活运用已经学过的英语知识和英语技能,通过分工合作来共同完成一个研究项目。在做这个项目的过程中,学生们将思考所做节目会集中讨论什么动物,同时决定设计什么种类的电视节目。在前期的准备过程中,他们可以参观附近的动物园,观看动物的记录片,阅读有

8、als.Show some pictures of some animals one by one on the screen. For example, the teacher can show the pictures of cats, dogs, tigers, horses, snakes, and sharks, which the students know something about. Also, sharks are the main character in this part of the unit. Ask some questions as follows: (Th

9、e students are supposed to have looked for information in relations with the animals senses before the class, so the students can check their homework by presenting these questions. )1. Activity twoAt the beginning, the teacher may ask the students whether they and their schoolmates know something else besides what has been talked about above.The teacher may make a list about several different topics.For example, (1) types of sharks

11、.(2) sharks attacks against human beings.(3) how to avoid being attacked by sharks.At the same time, the teacher can show some pictures related to the topic in order to illustrate and enlighten the students for as many ideas as possible.The teacher may list several questions as follows:1.
