Today Im very pleased to have an opportunity to talk about my teaching ideas.Now I will analyze my teaching plan for the first period of Unit7How much are these socks?Section A(1a-2c

2、).I will say my lesson from four parts:the analysis of teaching materials and objects, the analysis of teaching theories and principles, teaching aims, teaching procedures. Part1: The analysis of teaching materials and objects. Teaching materials:1. The main topics of this unit: ask about prices, ta

3、lk about clothing, offer help, thank someone2. The contents of this period: master the names of clothes, the sizes, ask about prices3.Target language: Words and phrases: T-shirt, sweater, skirt, shoes, trousers,shorts, socks, big, small, long, short, dollar. Key sentences: How much is/are ? Its./The

4、yre.4.Teaching important and difficult points: Learn and grasp the vocabulary and sentence patterns Learn and understand the function of asking and answering “how much” through communicative activities. Teaching objects: The students have grasped some simple English. The students are the center of t

5、he teaching.Part2.The analysis of teaching theories and principles: 1.The teaching must be learner-centered, meaningful and effective. 2.The students must communicate through interactive and task-based learningPart3.Teaching aims1.Knowledge aims: . Master the new words: T-shirt, sweater, skirt, shoe

6、s, trousers, shorts, socks, big, small, long, short, dollar. . Learn to use the sentence patterns “How much is/are ?” “Its/Theyre.” . Get the students to use the plural forms of the nouns correctly.2.Ability aims: . Train students abilities of listening, speaking, reading and writing. . Develop the

7、studentsabilities of communicating with others.3.Morality aims:. Develop the studentsspirit of co-operation. Strengthen their sense of saving money.Part4. Teaching proceduresStep1. Warm-upStart with Number Song and encourage students to sing along with it.Aim to form a better English surrounding ,ra

8、ise the students learning interest and review the numbers.Step2. Presentation 1) Show some pictures by PPT, point to them and ask students :“What colors can you see?”They have learned colors already, so they can answer the question easily. 2) Use Picture 1 to review the word hat, then go on looking

9、at other pictures to teach new words: T-shirt , shirt, sweater ,bag, skirt,socks,trousers,shoes, and shorts. And let the students pay attention to the plural nonns:socks,trousers,shoes ,shorts. 3)Present all the pictures and ask the students “Whats this?”“Its a T-shirt/shirt/skirt/sweater.” “Whatre

10、these?”“Theyre socks/trousers/shorts/shoes.” The purpose of this step is to make the class lively , let the students remember the new words easily and quickly and review the colors.Step3.Play a guessing game. 1)Id say “I want to buy some clothes in the mall,so I should take some money.”Then present

11、two bills: one dollar, ten dollars,let students pay attention to their writing. 2)Ask students:“Can you guess what I want to buy with the money?”Then flash the pictures and encourage the students to memorize the words as many as possible. 3)Check the answers and praise the students who say all the w

12、ords correctly. The purpose of this step is to train the ability of the students memory, let students get familiar with the new words and develop the students sense of competition.Step4.Ask and answer. 1)Present the pictures with different kinds of clothes,ask students to look at the first picture “

13、Whats this?” “Its a shirt.”“How much is this shirt?”Help them to look at the price tag and answer “Its 7 dollars.”Then ask the prices of the shirt,the sweater and the skirt like this. 2)Ask “Whatre these?”in the fifth picture, “Theyre shoes”“How much are the shoes?”The students may answer “Theyre 9

14、dollars.”Then practice the socks,the shorts and the pants. The purpose of it is to introduce the structure“How much is /are.?”“Its /Theyre.dollars.” and grasp the new sentences easily.Step5.Look and listen.Do 1a and 1b and check the answers.This step can make the students master the new words and se

15、ntences and train the studentsabilities of listening.Step6. Pairwork1)Divide the students into groups and practice the conversation with their partner about the things in the picture.They can make the conversation like this :“How much is /are.?”“Its /Theyre.dollars.” 2) Encourage students to act out the conversation . This step can consolidate the contents the students have learnt,let students use the target language freely,develop the ability of communication and co-ope
