3、ogical ones, which can not output not common signals, a novel opening multi-function signal generator is put forward in this paper. This signal generator is mainly composed of microcomputer STM32F103RD and waveform generator, MAX038, a high-frequency, precision function generator, which can produce

4、accurate, high-frequency triangle, sawtooth, sine, square, and pulse waveforms with minimum of external components. As a result, this instrument may output not only common signal, such as sine, square, triangle and sawtooth signal, but also many kinds of physiological signals such as electrocardiosi

5、gnal, pulse wave signal. At the same time, the frequency, amplitude and type of signal are displayed by LCD,and the type of physiological signals can be modified by USB connection with well open property. Especially, an output interface, which may be connected to earphone directly, is provided. Ther

6、efore, it is convenient to hear sound of different frequency of various signals, and to study on frequency characteristic of human ear and impedance one of human body. In addition, each kind of physiological signal with several various frequencies is availed and may be observed with a normal oscillo

7、scope. Thus it has many merits, such as the small volume, stable property, simple operation, visual display and so on. 8、fields, which include electronic experiment and testing, equipment debugging and maintenance, medical teaching, not only general signals, such as sine, triangle, square, rectangular, sawtooth waveform signals, but also many special stimulated physiologic ones, for instance, electrocardiosignal, hear

9、t sounds signal, pulse wave signal, are often needed. Besides, for studying and teaching of the human ear frequency, human impedance characteristics and biosensor, sine signal with high precision in frequency, purity and ability to drive heavy load, are also required. At present many medical signal

10、generator or signal producing instruments can not meet the demands 1-2. Although many medical signal generators may output common physiological signals, the waveform signal generally is fixed, and commonly used signals, such as sine, triangle and square-wave, are not offered. On the contrary, some s

11、ignal generators with ability of outputting commonly signals, dose not supply physiological signals. At the same time, a few parameters of stimulated signals are displayed, but many important ones, such as frequency, amplitude and so on, are not afforded. Based on above, authors developed an open- e

12、nded multi-functional signal generator with USB interface and LCD, which overcomes the shortages and can be widely used in scientific researching, experiment teaching and medical instruments debugging and maintaining.II.Instrument StructionA.The summary of the instrument structionThe designed instru

13、ment includes two sides, hardware and software. Hardware is divided into eleven units: microcontroller, general signal generator, memory, filter, and signal selector, gain regulator, amplitude detector, power amplifier, keyboard, LCD monitor and power source unites. The instrument block diagram is s

14、hown in Figure1.This instrument mainly based on microcontroller and high- performance integrated chips, such as STM32F103RD, MAX038, K9W5608U1M, which not only can increase its intelligence, precision, stability, but also reduce its power consumption and volume. The method for this generator include

15、s the following sides: on the one hand, STM32F103RD, which has double on-chip DAC with 12 bit resolutions and may get data of signals from external memory K9W5608U1M, can output physiologic and special signals. Then, they are input to signal selector after filter. Finally, we can obtain physiologic

16、or special signals that may be modified, deleted and appended by USART or USB. On the other hand, controlled by microcontroller, MAX038, a high-frequency, precision function generator, may produce general signals, which are sine, triangle, sawtooth, square, and pulse waveforms ones.
