Were going to look at what to do if youre asked to go for an interview.Before we go any further, its important to understand what an interview is and why its arrang

2、ed. An interview is a talk between an employer and a potential employee so that the interview can assess the applicant and see if he or she is suitable for the position. However it also provides an opportunity for the job candidates to find out more about the job and the company, and to ask themselv

3、es, Is it right for me?We can split the interview process into three parts: first, preparation; second, the interview itself; and finally, what you should do after the interview. Lets look at the first part- preparation. This is the key to getting the job you want. Find out as much as you can about

4、the company. Most companies have a website that tells you most things you need to know. A good interview is able to tell if youve done your homework about the company, so make sure you have!Next, think about some of the questions you might be asked and how to best answer them. Or, better yet, do pra

5、ctice interviews with a friend. This allows you to prepare good answers and means you wont have to answer questions off the top of your head during the interview.Dont worry about having butterflies in your stomach before the interview. If youve prepared properly, youll feel confident. Its not like a

6、 painful trip to the dentist, so theres no need to be afraid.First impressions are important. Make sure you get a good nights rest, so that you will be refreshed and not yawn during the interview. And gentlemen, make sure youve used your razor or electric shaver to give yourself a good shave that mo

7、rning. You should make sure that your hair looks neat-you should even get a haircut, if necessary. Its also very important to wear clothes that make you feel confident; your clothes should be smart, but conservative. The interview will begin to judge you as soon as he or she sees you in the waiting

8、room. Wearing a pair of shorts and a T-shirt is certainly not suitable for an interview!When you set off for your appointment, make allowance for the traffic and make sure you are on time, or even a little bit early. Arriving late is one of the worst things you can do. The interview will not care ab

9、out how bad the traffic was at the roundabout or how you had trouble finding parking; theres never a good excuse for being late.During the interview, remember to be enthusiastic. Smile when you shake hands with the interviewer, and look him or her in the eye. This is one of the quickest ways of maki

10、ng a bond. It also gives the impression that youre confident even if you feel quite nervous.You should also use body language to express yourself. Nod your head when you agree with something or wag your head when you dont. Keep your back straight and dont move around too much. Otherwise, the intervi

11、ew might think youre nervous or uncomfortable.Listen to the questions the interviewer asks and answer them well. And dont forget that an interview is a chance for you to learn more about the job. Asking questions will show that youre interested.But dont think that theres nothing else you can do once

12、 the interview is over. You should follow it up by writing and thanking them for giving you the interview. This is not only a polite gesture, but also a final chance to sell yourself to the company. It can also give you the edge over other candidates, so remember to check your spelling, punctuation
