2、ive people enough reasons to put more attention to their health and beauty. Pro-side arguments:  1.  Being overweight is bad for one's health because it leads

3、60;to heart disease, high blood pressure etc.  2.   Medical science has proved that animal fats and an excessive amount of sugar are harmful to one's health

4、. 3.   Fat people suffer psychologically and physically. 4.   It is hard for fat men and women to get ready-made clothes 5.   Fat men and women&#

5、160;are unattractive to look at. 6.   Fat people get tired easily. 7.   Fat people should put themselves on a diet because they eat more than they rea

6、lly need. 8.  Obese people are often objects of ridicule owing to their abnormal figures.  How do you know if you are fat?   Do you think people 

7、who are fat can be happy?  A good diet is important for good health. A healthy and varied diet can help to maintain a healthy body weight, enhance general&

8、#160;wellbeing and reduce the risk of a number of diseases including heart disease, stroke, cancer, diabetes and osteoporosis. Dieting is associated with sensible and rational 

9、;living. It also leads to longevity. Dieting enables people to enjoy life more. Diets, like anything, come down to personal choice, and therefore should not be restrictedI personally feel we live in a society that relies too much on go

10、verning bodies to restrict those things that could be bad for us. In doing so, we allow someone else to make our personal choices for us, and while this may be fine for some, it inevitably leads to problems on the individual level. With this in mind, I see no reason to ban the promotion of diets. Wh

11、ile many promoted diets may not be the best health wise, that is no reason to take that choice away from an individual. Who am I to tell you that you cannot follow the South Beach diet or some variation thereof? Some people for health reasons need to be on a diet just like this. For others, it may c

12、ause health problems. Preferably, I'd like to see the effort and money that goes into banning things people see as "bad" go towards the promotion of healthy alternatives. Perhaps if people were bombarded with information about other diet options they would not fall for a potential

13、ly unhealthy diet.(有点问题)Diets should be promoted just like everything else is. It'd be extremely unfair to simply ban diets from being advertised while other things such as cigarettes and alcohol become widely advertised throughout television and in billboards. There is nothing wrong with wantin

14、g to lose weight. Every one should take care of themselves. Why diet is importantEating and drinking a balanced diet plays an important part in coping with cancer .There is nothing wrong with wanting to shed some extra pounds per se. We are told over and over again about all the health ris

15、ks that come along with obesity heart disease, diabetes, lowered immune function, increased risk of heart attack and other cardiac episodes, inflammation of tissue and so on. As a society, we are well aware of the health implications of being overweight.We are also well aware that being overweight i
