My topic is Unit 1 Past and present Welcome to the unit from Grade 8. I will divide the instruction into six parts: Teaching material Analysis, Teaching

2、aims, Teaching emphasis and difficulties, Teaching methods, Analysis of the students and Teaching procedures.一Teaching material analysis First of all, Id like to talk about my understanding about this period. In this period, transports at different times in Beijing are introduced. Millie and her dad

3、 talk about the changes of people using transports. The present perfect tense first appears in this period. Students cant tell the difference between the present perfect tense and the past tense. The present perfect tense is always used to check if the students have mastered the usages of different

4、tenses in the entrance exams to the high school.二Teaching aims1Aims of the knowledge:(1)To know the spelling of some words and usages of some phrases.(2) To introduce the present perfect tense generally. (3) To introduce the different forms of transports at different times in Beijing.2Aims of the ab

5、ilities:(1)To improve the ability of making up a conversation. (2)To understand the present perfect tense generally.3Aims of the emotion:(1)To know things always change (2)To have a healthy mood from the changes.三Teaching emphasis and difficulties1To master and use the key words past, present, just

To make up a conversation using Part B as a model. 四Analysis of the students1. They are lack of vocabulary.2. They dont often use E

7、nglish to express themselves and communicate with others.3. Some students are not active in class because they are afraid of making mistakes.五Teaching methods In this period, I will use Situational Teaching Method and Task-based language Teaching. I design some tasks to help the students learn. I th

8、ink if I want to improve the students oral English, I should give them enough chances to practice and I will use pair work, group work to let the students take an active part in all kinds of activities. That is “ Learning by doing, learning by using ”. Let the students be the masters of the class te
