In a narrower sense, globalization refers to international financial flows as well as the internationally economic exchange of goods and services. In a broader sense, globalization encompasses a

While globalization has been an increasingly common topic, the argument has never stopped among different countries, industries, and occupations. Differen

3、t aspects of globalization will also be refined and redirected as policies and regulations constantly change because of political reasons. The effects of globalization and more specifically, the pros and cons of globalization will be explored and analyzed further in this research paper. Although eco

4、nomic globalization may have negative effects on local economies and to some extent raise inequality, globalization help local customers to gain greater access to trade, culture, opportunities and the development of technology. 6、e it reduces job opportunities for local workers. The biggest problem for developed countries in terms of globalization is that its job opportunities are transferred from local workers to workers in countries where human labor costs less. According to Kletzer, import-related jobs constitute a majori

7、ty of the job losses due to globalization in the United States. Current research also shows that high import-competing industries accounted for about 40 percent of manufacturing job losses from 1979 to 2001; and according to Carr and Chen, the reshaping of the overseas production network, which puts

8、 pressure on retailers to relocate their production facilities and networks in countries where costs are much lower, will result in sudden closures and loss of employment. Moving the jobs of workers to other countries where cheaper labor are provided indeed decrease the job opportunities for local w

9、orkers who rely on their current jobs, and in turn impact the employment issue. Industry with rising import shares are where we might expect to see a relationship between the flow of imports and and declining local employment as well as job loss (Kletzer 39). It is also generally seen by the anti-gl

Gross Domestic Product, also known as GDP, is the accumulated value of all finished goods and services produced in a country, often measured annually. Global GDP

14、 is a significant factor in determining the economic health, growth and productivity in the world. With the increasing influence of globalization in the past few years, Global GDP has seen a continuous increase from $65,634 billion to $79,535 billion, and is expected to grow up to $93,599 billion in

15、 2020 (Statista).
