It uses assembly line
12、 techniques, that is, parts and the partially completed products are moved on conveyor belts to the workers who work on the different steps of the manufacturing process. No worker will work on the whole product from start to fi nish and much of the process is automated.Unit3 Manufacturing Mass produ
13、ction requires that each worker repeats one or a few related tasks and uses the same tools to perform identical or near-identical operations on the stream of products on the assembly line. The relevant tools and parts are always at hand as required so that the worker spends little or no time retriev
14、ing or preparing materials and tools. Compared with traditional handcrafted methods of production, mass production makes the manufacturing process much faster. Furthermore, since each worker focuses on only one or a few tasks, they dont need to learn all the techniques involved in the whole process
15、which means that training does not take too long.Unit3 Manufacturing Moreover, automation of the assembly line reduces the cost of labor and improves efficiency so larger quantities of the product can be manufactured at a lower cost and in a shorter time than handcrafted products. The probability of

Finally, if a fault occurs at any of the steps, the following processes may be affected or the l
