7、 短语的正确使用 1） by短语的位置 by 短语通常紧跟在被动式谓语动词之后，但少数单宾语及物动词，如place,put,set 等，需要一个地点状语才能使句子意义完整，这时地点状语紧跟在被动式谓语之后，by短语则谓语地点状语的后面。 e.g. The model plane was made by Alice. 这个飞机模型是爱丽丝做的。 My bag was place on the bed by Mum. 我的书包被妈妈放在了床上。 2）by 短语的省略 以下几种情况常常省略by短语： （1）无法确定动作的执行者时 e.g. My watch was stolen when I was
8、 on the bus. 我在公共汽车上的时候，手表被偷了。 Our school was set up fifty years ago. 我们的学校是50年前建成的。 （2）泛指动作的执行者时 e.g. he was noticed to leave the office as soon as possible. 有人看见他匆匆离开了办公室。 Children should be given environment to live in. 应当给孩子良好的生活环境。 （3）不愿意说出动作的执行者时 e.g. I am told a choir from Austria will visit
