Its serialized in the weekly magazine “Shounen Sunday.” Theres also an anime series based on the manga. Both manga and anime are wildly popular in Japan, and t

The manga and anime are being released in North America under the name Case Closed The story is about a 17-year-old genius detective named Shinichi Kudou who gets poisoned by a mysterious underground crime organization and shrinks into his 7-year-old body. Hes forced to h
3、ide his true identity, and fools his almost-girlfriend Ran into believing that hes just a 7-year-old boy named Conan . He ends up living with Ran and her father in their home slash private detective agency. He continues to try and find a cure to un-shrink his body, solving various mystery cases alon
4、g the way. Very few people know Conans secret, and to this day, Ran is still clueless. However, when Shinichi disappeared, Kogoros business as well as fame soared. In reality, it was Conan who would figure out all the cases and give credit to Kogoro. Besi
11、des not being a very intelligent detective, Kogoro also lives a sloppy lifestyle. But once you get to know him, he can be really funny. So, it might as well be that shes in serious danger if the members of the Black Organization ever come lurking aro
13、und! Theres also a lot of indication/talk on whether she likes Shinich/Conan or not. So, things do get interesting in the ongoing love-triangles. She always quite, calm, and mysterious.The Detective Boys(少年侦探团)Ayumi, Genta and Mitsuhiko, three very curious six year olds who like adventure. They make
14、 friends with Conan after his arrival at their school, rather they decide to be friends with Conan whether he likes it or not! They thoroughly enjoy the mysteries that they encounter with Conan and a club called the Detective Boys is quickly formed. Conan often views them as a hindrance and tries to
15、 keep them out of danger, but the kids are very persistent and actually often prove their worth as detectives. Ayumi likes Conan very much while Genta and Mitsuhiko like Ayumi and get annoyed with Conan about it sometimes, but lately Mitsuhiko seems to have transferred his affection to Haibara. Howe
16、ver, all three admire Conan very much and are very loyal to him. He loves to steal things that are hard to get (especially jewelry) and doesnt mind in dwelling into risky adventures along the way. Will he ever get caught by Conan/Shinichi? We may never know.

Viz is putting out the manga (with the new name changes) and the first DVD has come out (with sub and dub options).vOf course since it took so long for Conan to be licensed it will be a while before the English version catches up with the Japanese. But dont despair! If you wish to read on
25、 ahead and get to some of the really juicy storylines then there is a chance. Many fans translated the manga early on and there are a number of sites offering Detective Conan translated either simply as text to compliment the original manga or as manga scans; that is: the original manga scanned in a
26、nd the Japanese wiped out and replaced with English.
