14、再说了，饼铺的生意眼下也不容易。”郭氏不同意，坚持说：“娘说的对，穷家富路！你们带上哇，将来赚钱回来再孝敬爹娘不迟！”在当地，女儿女婿在春节和八月十五前都会带上礼品回家看望爹娘，俗称“望节”。就在前天，耿老爹和妻子也带着两双儿女去岳父母家里看望了，而今年去的目的除了“望节”之外，还兼带着临行前的话别。那日里秋高气爽，阳光格外灿烂，但大家的心情都很沉重。早已秃顶驼背的岳父抱着乐呵呵的耿兰，再望望自己的宝贝女儿，不时地唉声叹气。头发花白，脸上的皱纹日渐增多的岳母坐在火炕的一边拉着耿英的手，又摸摸耿直的头，一次次地撩起衣襟擦眼泪。耿老爹和妻子的心里也都酸酸的，但都不便流露出来。耿正却满是男子汉的气派
15、，大大咧咧地说：“咳，这没有什么嘛！俺爹当年还单枪匹马在战乱年代闯荡天下呢，俺们现在是父子四人，不是说人多力量大嘛！再说了，眼下也没有战乱什么的，俺们要去的地方又是条件比俺们这儿好得多的江南一带。有什么可担心的，俺们肯定行！”妻弟则真诚地对耿老爹说：“姐夫，如果外面实在不好混，你就早点儿带娃娃们回来。眼下年景虽然不好，但咱们这饼铺的生意还撑得下去，让娃娃们吃饱饭是绝对没有问题的！”妻弟的话让耿老爹心里热乎乎的。然而，生来就非常倔强的性格注定了他是绝对不会轻易服输的。他虽然嘴上应允，但心里却说：耿家人骨子里就特别吃得了苦，而且俺的娃娃们都很优秀，俺父子们凭着自己的苦力和智慧，一定能打拼出一份家业，风风光光
