2、ityhasfoughtagainstasetofservernaturalandsocialproblemswhicharevitalforhumankindtosurviveduringthepastdecades.Accordingtoonestatistic，Africaisthehottestcontinentonearthand60%oftheentirelandsurfaceconsistsofdrylandsanddeserts;Africaisalsotheworldsecondmostpopulatedcontinent1.1billionpeopleasof2020，ac
3、countingforabout15%oftheentirepopulationintheearthWikipedia，n.d.Itis，thus，notdifficulttoenvisagehowharshandcriticaltofeedalargernumberofsettlingpeopleundertheparticularlyroughenvironment.Moreover，social，politicalandreligiousconflictsorunsetsalsoplayaroleinhinderingthemajorityofAfricancountriestoward
4、sthewayofthelongtermdevelopment.Forexample，terminologiesthatareimmoralandunethical，suchassegregation，racecarnage，andcolonialism，canbeparticularlyfoundwithinthisregion.Fortunately，therearesomeNGOscurrentlyworkinginAfrica，whotrytohelpAfricanstofightagainstprominentproblemsintermsofpoverty，hunger，HIVS，
5、etc.Embracingthephilosophyof“takeittothefarmer，SasakawaAfricaAssociationSAA，oneoftheNGOsregisteredatGeneva，Switzerlandin1986，aimstoforesteramorefood-secureruralAfricawithincreasingnumbersofprosperingsmallholdercommercialfarmersTokusue2020.Ingeneral，SAAendeavorstotransformAfricanextensionadvisoryserv
6、icesinpartnercountriestosecurehigherfamilyfoodandmoreactiveandprofitableparticipationincommercialactivitiesalongwiththevaluechainwithauniquefocusonrespectingnaturalresources.Specifically，SAAcarriesoutastrategicgoal-toestablishcost-effectivefarmerlearningplatformsthatimproveproductivityinsmallholderf
7、oodsystems，especiallyforresource-poorwomenfarmersandthosewithlowlevelsoftechnicalskills，toincreasefoodsecurityandlivelihoods.ThefactoftheAfricanagricultureindustryfeaturesfewtypesofmachineryemployeesinfarmingeventoday，sohowtointegratemoderntechnologiesintofarmersdailyworksisessential.Moreover，asamor
8、esubstantialproportionofcropwastedduetoinappropriatestoragemethods，farmersdemandmorescientificandrealistictacticstopreservetheharvest.Besides，bystrengtheningagriculturalextensionsystemsbybuildingthecapacityofextensionprofessionals，smallholderfarmers，regionalandglobalmarkets，theultimategoalofestablis
9、hingarobustvaluechain，benefitingthelocalcitizensinalongerrun，isexpectedtobemet.Withempoweringsmallholderfarmerstocapturealargerproportionoftheeconomicbenefitsfromthevaluechain，farmerswillnotonlygettheimmediatefinancialgainsthroughtheso-called“GroupWorkingSystem，butalsocanvoluntarilyconducttheextrawo
10、rkfortheirliving.Also，notingthepotentialofIT，SAAplanstoestablishinformationandknowledgemanagementinformationsystemsthatenableadaptation，modificationandchangeoftechnologiesandapproaches，improveefficiencyandimpacts，andcommunicatelessonsandbestpracticesfortimelyevidence-baseddecision-making.Fromthisper
11、spective，theroleofSAAisanalogoustothe“extensionagent：theynotonlytoassistsmallholderfarmersintheareaofcropproduction，post-harvest，andmarketingbutalsotocreatetrainingopportunitiesthatbringessentialbusinessskillstothefarmers.Asonedictumclaimsthat“Giveamanafish，hewilleatforaday;teachhimtofish，hewouldnev
