1、英语中的同义词（组）可以分成三类。一、完全同义，可以换用，例如alotof=lotsof；二、在表达某个意思时同义，这时它们可以换用，但它们可能还有各自的其它意思，例如：gettosw.=reachsw.中的getto与reach只有表示“到达”这一意思时同义；三、只是在字面意思上一样，但在表达实际意思时是有区别的，不可以换用，例如：walkacrosstheroad与walkthroughthehall中的walkacross与walkthrough的字面意思都是“穿过”，但它们却不能换用。1、许多、很多：alotof=lotsof后面跟复数名词相当于many，后面跟不可数名词相当于much
2、。2、非常、十分：alot，verymuch它们是两个相当于副词性质的短语，用来修饰动词。3、两点十五：aquarterpasttwo，twofifteen实际上这反映英语中时间的两种表达方式，前一种是介词past,to表达法，后一种是直接数字表达法，例如：tentoten=ninefifty,halfpastseven=seventhirty.4、一点：abit，alittle它们的这个共同点是既可以修饰动词，例如：movealittle=moveabit，也可以修饰形容词和副词，例如：alittlesmall=abitsmall。另外，如果它们要修饰名词（不可数），则alittle=abi
