All facing CMUs should be selected at random from several pallets (CMU Cubes) and re-stacked neatly in small plies within easy reach of the Mason constructing the wall.所有劈裂砌块砌筑时，必须从几包砌块中随机选取，砌块需整齐地就近堆放。3. Working areas should be kept clean so as
3、 not to damage or contaminate blocks, this also makes for a safe working area.工作区需保持清洁并避免损坏砌块。Setting out for CMU wall开始施工1. From construction drawings mark on to the foundation using masons pencil or crayon and tape measure, all window, door openings and control joints. Measure between corners and
4、door openings or control joints, calculate the number of CMUs (390mm + 10mm =400mm) adjust mortar joints slightly to fit CMUs to the nearest % block. Mark on the foundation CMU and mortar joint.Where there are masonry columns between, and masonry above windows, while setting out make allowance to al
5、ign vertical mortar joints in masonry below and above windows.根据图纸将所有门、窗及控制缝的位置都用铅笔在基础梁上做好记号，计算墙角到门、窗 洞口间的砌块模数(400mm)，通过灰缝宽度调整，尽可能将模数调至砌块模数的1/2，并在 基础上标出砂浆灰缝的位置。窗间墙的上方墙体和下方墙体的灰缝需对齐。2. 7、To obtain good workability and other desirable properties of plastic color consistent masonry mortar, the ingredients must be thoroughly mixed.After all materials are batched in to mixer, they should be mixed from 3 to 5 minutes. Less mixing time may result in nonuniformity, poor workability, low wa
8、ter retention, and less than optimum air content. Longer mixing times may effect strength of mortar.为使砂浆使用性能良好，砂浆成份需被彻底搅拌。材料倒入搅拌机后，需搅拌35分钟。如搅拌时间过短，则砂浆会出现不均匀，工作能力差，水份保持力不足和空气含有率不足的现象；搅拌时间过长则会影响砂浆的强度。Fresh mortar should be prepared at the rate it is used so that its workability will remain the same th
9、roughout the day. Mortar that has been mixed but not used with in 20 minutes tends to dry out and stiffen. If it is necessary to restore workability, mortar may be retempered by adding water and re-mixing. Color mortars should not be tempered, because additional water will cause color to lighten.Mor
10、tar should be discarded after 2 % hours from mixing.工地上需常备新鲜搅拌的砂浆以保证砂浆的工作性一致。砂浆搅拌后如不及时使用，20分 钟后开始硬化和干化，所以有必要再加些水后重新搅拌。有颜色的砂浆不能重新加水搅 拌，因为会使颜色变浅。砂浆搅拌后2个半小时内，如不用则弃用。Keep Mortar on a damp board ready for Masons use.
